MailChimp is by far the easiest to use, most powerful email platform out there. Designed for small-to-medium sized businesses at the outset, it does a really good job of scaling up to enterprise level with its pro features. It brought my company out of the dark ages of slow, on-premise email marketing that didn't integrate with any other systems, and allowed us to automate a good amount of our campaigns that we send regularly. I wish the ecommerce integration was easier to set up for non-integrated platforms. There also is an opportunity for better, more granular control with user permissions - one of the hangups that I have is that you can't set user permissions on a per-list basis, which would be helpful when setting up access for business users in different departments, who only need access to specific lists.
