What I like most about InterSystems IRIS is that it combines the database and application development on the same platform. This makes things much easier when working on applications that handle a lot of data.
I also appreciate the performance and the integration options. I was able to work with the data and connect different parts of the application without needing too many extra tools.
For me, the biggest advantage is that IRIS is a mature platform with many capabilities already built in, so I don’t have to create everything from scratch. The UI and UX are solid—simple and efficient. The price is OK, and the support is good and helpful. The AI is also extremely useful for multiple use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I don't like is that IRIS can take some time to get used to, especially for developers who are coming from more common technologies. Some concepts and tools are not very intuitive at first and the documentation can be a little hard to navigate sometimes.
I also think the development experience could be more modern in some areas. There are many powerful features, but it can take some time to understand the best way to use them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
