What do you like best about InterSystems IRIS?

The things I liked the most are the performance, having the multidimensional engine is really fast to read and write even with high data volume and it gets really impressive when compared with relational databases. Also, I'd like to say that it is really multimodel, so you are able to access the same data with SQL, as an object, or using the Globals. For the last thing, the interoperability module is very mature and there's a lot of features ready-made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InterSystems IRIS?

There are some things about IRIS that bother me a little bit, the small community, when you compare it with other technologies, is very niche. I asked about IRIS to a lot of people and they don't know what it is. Because of that, it is harder to solve very specific problems, sometimes you will have only the answer at old forums. The job market is very limited, it is hard to find someone who has experience with IRIS, and to hire someone and train them takes time. The licensing cost is not very accessible, so only big companies can afford it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
