For example if they want to view the items on any purchasing order, they just need to click on upper window to get the details on below window. **What do you dislike about Infor XA?** Things that I don't like about this it is taking lot more time to deploy the changes. Also you can't do any changes if the file taken care by Infor itself. If you forgot to generate and compile any Business Object then the changes will not reflect. **What problems is Infor XA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Building ERP solutions for manufacturing systems. They were also used as UI to see the modified changes in Purchase Order or Manufacturing Order. In XA we need not to write a code to insert, update or delete any record. It will be done in just clicks. ### 3. I mostly use for bill of materials, parts database & costing information which it does the best and I believe it's a cheaper option than a SAP. **What do you dislike about Infor XA?** It need a Citrix Xenapp to login into and require frequent password change which irks me. Should be a direct simple login & User interface could be much better. Also, downloading or copying a large data from database is tough and require additional steps which is time consuming. **What problems is Infor XA solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps in identifying parts history, revisions, whereused, versions, assembly BoM, costing, & much more. It's a complete ERP tool. Helps in day to day task with drawing or assembly updates. ### 4. We can look in one place to find the information. **What do you dislike about Infor XA?** It is a very cumbersome platform. It is not intuitive, and any changes requested involve a lot of time and resources from our IT department. It also crashes a lot. **Recommendations to others considering Infor XA:** Make sure you have a process to tie your systems together before implementing the software. Ensure communication between departments and IT is complete and accurate. Ask IT to repeat in their words what your goal is, so you are on the same page. Make sure your information can be tied back to other databases so you can put together complete reports on progress, outcomes, etc. **What problems is Infor XA solving and how is that benefiting you?** If you know where to look, the platform can be highly beneficial. However, getting the software customized to your company and your needs takes a lot of time, resources, and company knowledge. Tying everything together in a way that makes sense is very hard, especially for those not involved in creating the platform. It is not user-friendly/intuitive. ### 5. With the company being in the manufacturing industry Infor XA allows an efficient tracking of jobs from beginning to end. The Infor XA helps managers see the costs as each job moves from raw materials to finished goods. Infor XA helps the accounting group understand costs and make recommendations as needed to other departments. Recently added System I Workspace is giving almost a new paradigm shift on the feel of Infor XA, using Infor OS Single sign-on, you can drill down to XA with single click from any feed coming to Infor OS. Using new NETLINK is a perfect web-based interface to XA. I would highly recommend start using System I workspace/NETLINK interface of Infor XA, also do try some of the cool ready to use Infor OS widgets automatically connect to XA using ION. **What do you dislike about Infor XA?** Some features are still in Green Screen, also some of the Powerlink features like Workbenches are missing in Net-link. **What problems is Infor XA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Infor XA is now available with Infor OS plat form, Infor OS is blend of AI and machine learning, It is the central point for an enterprise's ecosystem where you can automate, anticipate, predict and inform stakeholders in all things they do. Infor OS brings user productivity, business process management and automation together. With Infor OS/ION its very easy to integrate Infor XA with other applications. ### 7. Features are simple as easy to understand and mimic Microsoft functions. Add on modules give capabilities to help your business in all areas. A solid and reliable ERP. Customization is made easy by using the Powerlink Browser. Infor is always looking to improve the product. **What do you dislike about Infor XA?** Some features are still in 'Green Screen' and if customizations were done in the past they can be hard to 'unravel' and migrate to new technology. Also difficult to upgrade from Green Screens to the Browser. **What problems is Infor XA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Low cost to own compared to other ERPs and the XA is flexible and easy to connect with other systems using ION. Solved some problems in procurement by using the reorder program and the multi-source functionality in MRP. ### 9. Storage for the back up files should be considered also. Infor XA is easy to use however, you should take the advantages and further review the disadvantages in order to avoid issues moving forward. **What problems is Infor XA solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used INFOR XA before to process invoices and now to check the data and list of invoices needed.
