What I find most useful is the ability to make compensation logic explicit. In an investment environment, incentives can become complicated quickly because performance may involve sourcing, transaction execution, portfolio support, fundraising, or other contributions. I don't want those distinctions living in someone's personal spreadsheet. Incentivate gives us a more structured way to define how different performance outcomes are treated. That makes compensation discussions more objective and gives partners and management a common reference point when reviewing results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform has considerable flexibility, which means there is some initial thinking required around how we want to structure our plans. For a smaller investment firm, I'd appreciate more examples or predefined approaches for common private-market compensation scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
