  ### 1. One Point at a Time

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

One of the things I like about Imagine Language & Literacy are the interactive games provided to my students based off of their ELPAC scores. We use this learning game as a supplement to our ELD time.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

The only thing that I have found challenging at times is not full understanding the incentives students earn since I am on a teacher screen versus a student screen. So sometimes I am not sure what the student has earned and at times I have thought a student is off task when in fact they are not.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Imagine Language & Literacy is currently servicing our EL learners in my district as supplemental support as a learning game. I currently use it in my intervention for EL's offered before school and students earn incentives. We also give out monthly awards for students making progress.

  ### 2. Imagine Learning & Literacy Platform

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I like the monthly progress monitoring as well as the student reports. It is easy for me to talk with my students about their current status and how to make a plan for growth.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I think that Imagine Learning Espanol still needs to improve in regards to the method in demonstrating their current academic levels. Also the reporting available to teachers seems not as detailed as the IL Language and literacy.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tech support for Imagine learning has always been quick and efficient. Our school really loves Imagine learning and our 2nd language learners are really demonstrating growth through the benefit of having access to a great program.

  ### 4. It Works!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

What I love about Imagine Learning is that for my English Language Learners it works. They have the opportunity to learn at their own pace through a customized platform. They take the diagnostic which then customize their learning based on their response to questions. It gives them the feeling of succeding in their language acquisition. I also like the tracking features for teachers so that we can praise and award student for daily usage and also see their progress. It also helps to guide instruction when you can see where students struggle.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

In my school district it is only provided to newcomer english learner student that are new to this country three or less years. I wish it could be given to other english learner students that would benefit from Imagnine Learning as well.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Im not sure what they are solving so n/a

  ### 5. Great intervention for student who struggle in District universal diagnostics such as iReady.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gayle M. | Project Facilitator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I love the flexibility to either have students work independently or how a teacher can utilize the resources for small group instruction based on the identified needs under Action Areas,

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

The new platform for groups/classes/users. The original was much easier to navigate and fewer "clicks" were required to get where you needed to go.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our District uses iReady to measure student progress. For those students in the "Red" on iReady - 6 weeks working in Imagine Learning instead of iReady fills in the gaps where vocabulary is missing for some of our English learners and students with disabiltiies.

It is solving our need for an intervention tool for our EL students, especially those with interrupted educational needs. It is helping to bridge the language gaps that are difficult to address in the general ed classroom.

  ### 13. very annoying to use.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oscar H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

It's more entertaining than a test and the voice acting and animation isn't as bad as other sites. I'm only filling this part because it's forcing me to do it.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

There isn't a skip button for the voice to shut up and skip to the question. Students hate waiting 30 seconds every time they press a button to move on. Also, sometimes the vote isn't helpful, and the students feel exasperated by the constant blabbering because they already know what to do most of the time.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It doesn't help me that much because a lot of the times nobody cares what this word means because this is probably the only time they will use it in their life. It is also useless for anyone who can already read and write english, so they should probably add better tests so Students can actually learn something instead of looking at already-known words.

  ### 14. Not appropriate for anyone over the age of 8

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

There isnt really anything good about it, as most children hate it

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

It is too childish and slowm, there needs to be a way to turn it into a quiz format

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It isnt solving anything, all it does is causes issues

  ### 15. Can be difficult for littles to navigate.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charity Q. | Curriculum Writer and Educator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I like that it can become a dual language program.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I don't like the repetitiveness in the early grades, as well as the controls for vocal recording. On iPads, these can be difficult for second language learners to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering Imagine Language & Literacy:**

Consider the age groups and percentage of ELL learners.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Imagine learning does a good job at tier-1 vocabulary which is often overlooked by providing experiences with those words.

  ### 16. Imagine Learning for Middle School Newcomers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marlen G. | Special Education Paraprofessional - Autism, Primary/Secondary Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

Imagine Learning is a great program for elementary children who struggle with literacy and phonics. I currently use it with my Newcomers at the middle school level and find that it fills gaps in phonics.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

Using this with middle schoolers can become a challenge as it is geared for a younger audience.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Imagine Learning helps us patch gaps in literacy by practicing phonics and comprehension skills.

  ### 17. Imagine Learning is fun and effective !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casey V. | Substitute Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

While I was teaching kindergarten and first grade in Las Vegas, over 50% of my students were English Language Learners. These students were assigned to use Imagine Learning on the computer everyday for 30 minutes each. My students were excited to use this program everyday and the ones who didn’t need it were jealous that they didn’t get to join the fun! I noticed a dramatic increase in these students’ understanding and use of English. The login for the students is also nice because instead of having these young students having to type in some random password, they were able to click on a series of pictures to login. As a teacher it was also nice to be able to view data such as a student’s progress.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I did not like how long the picture logins had to be. If the student forgot their password, it was quite a pain to get back in.

**Recommendations to others considering Imagine Language & Literacy:**

If you could have a student try it out for a month, I believe you could see in this short time why the program has been excelling .

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Imagine Learning shortens the language barrier for ELL students by helping them learn English in a fun way and at their own pace.

  ### 18. Imagine Learning for Elementary English Language Learners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alison D. | ESL Teacher, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I love how interactive and customizable it is. It evaluates the students to determine their level, and presents activities for them that are suited for their language proficiency level. The children all love the program, and for us it is a good supplement in the classroom.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

Previously, when the program was software based, we would have a lot of connectivity problems in part because of the internet connection in our school building. That has since been rectified now that our internet is improved and the program is web based.

We have had an overhaul to the system recently though and had to create new passwords for all of the students which was kind of a pain.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many times the teachers of English Language Learners are at a bit of a loss with beginner and intermediate students because their language proficiency level and understanding sometimes limits them from fully participating in class. Imagine Learning serves as a productive supplement to the classroom instruction for ELLs.

  ### 19. A good tool to help kids learn

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manju S. | Teaching Assistant, Higher Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

1. Simplicity of user
2. Great tool to teach kids of varying age with visual aids and interactive learning.
3. Kids can choose modules depending on their level of understanding and aptitude.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

1. Requires continuous internet connection, which means if there is a glitch in that, the tool would stop working.
2. I also feel, gluing kids to computer and technology, although is a good way of learning, teaching them the old fashion way is also necessary.

**Recommendations to others considering Imagine Language & Literacy:**

Great too for kids to learn interactively and using visual aids

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping kids learn through interactive technology and also letting them choose the level of aptitude.

  ### 20. I want to like it...

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

It does adapt to student needs. Kids like to see what other kids are doing, so there's an unofficial added incentive to it. There are different reports to look at to analyze data.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I want to like this program, but it feels like just plugging kids in. It's easy to become over reliant on it as a student, teacher, district, etc. The kids love being encouraged to work on the computers and do love the variety. I just had a hard time establishing so much screentime.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the struggling district where I worked, this helped get low ability students more involved. They had a high buy-in to the product. It also helped students get used to electronic testing.

  ### 21. Awesome program for ELL's!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

Imagine learning is very easy to use, even for my ELL students. It works at their levels to ensure they are getting appropriate instruction. It helps them get where they need to get academically.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I do wish it had some level of translation for instructions.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides extra instruction needed for students and they can access it at home as well.

  ### 22. Amazing for new english learner children

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca L. | Photographer, Photography, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I love that the kids have fun while learning! Just trying to constantly teach kids abc's while sitting around a table can get old really quick, so being able to give them a game to play that helps them learn is magical!

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I don't like that it can be glitchy at times and the kid has to restart their session if they get kicked off.

**Recommendations to others considering Imagine Language & Literacy:**

This is a great tool if you are teaching elementary aged students who don't know much or any English yet. It starts out giving directions to the kid in their own language (if Imagine Learning has their language, that is), so they understand what to do. But it's pretty easy for the kids to figure out, anyway. I love that the kids can earn "Booster Bits" which are tokens that the child can earn for doing well. They can then use those tokens to play mini games and decorate their character and fun things like that. But the program only gives the kid a short amount of time in those areas, so they can't spend the entire session in there. It's a great way to give the kids a break in between learning. The program can also record the kids' voices reading, and you can go in and listen to it later.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my job as a Title 1 assistant much easier because I spend less time managing behavior, and more time planning lessons for other groups.

  ### 23. Imagine Learning

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I like that the program is tailored for each student. The program adjusts to each students learning level and gets either harder or easier depending on how they perform.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

There are glitches about once a month.

**Recommendations to others considering Imagine Language & Literacy:**

Not every student will be working on the same skills. You also need to remember that not all of the skills are aligned with your state standards. It is important to just use the program as a supplemental resource, not as a replacement for quality teaching.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are helping get students on to gradelevel by providing them opportunities for practice.

  ### 24. Imagine Learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I enjoy students being able to check their understanding of various standards. The work assigned to students is based on their needs from placement tests.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I wish there was a way for students to track what standards they are completing within the program so they can see it.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits are having a program provide immediate data on Student progress.

  ### 25. Imagine Learning: Taking Students Higher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jodi D. | Outreach Specialist and Admissions Counselor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

As an ELD educator, Imagine Learning assists my students gain the oral and written vocabulary to soar in their academic and social settings, through independent and whole group activities.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I dislike the fact that the program can freeze up, which means my students miss valuable minutes of work.

**Recommendations to others considering Imagine Language & Literacy:**

One of the best things about Imagine Learning is that the company provides easy to use, grab-and-go lesson plans, which decrease my time in meetings.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My students are learning how to speak English, which will allow them to be successful in their career and education choices.

  ### 26. Amazing ESL Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I love how this program teaches students the English language. Another great thing it does is record the students voices so that I can evaluate their English speech quality.

**What do you dislike about Imagine Language & Literacy?**

I dislike how their roster system works. It also resets and crashes a lot which makes it harder for students to log into.

**What problems is Imagine Language & Literacy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It benifits students mostly and only give staff insight into the knowledge of the English language that the student has.
