What do you like best about Illumify ERP?

What I like best about Illumify ERP is that it finally replaced the patchwork of QuickBooks and spreadsheets we used to run production on, so our BOMs, inventory, and costing all live in one system instead of drifting out of sync across different files. Lot traceability is a huge win too — we can trace a finished lot all the way back to raw materials in minutes, which makes audits and any quality issues much less painful to track down. The MRP and reorder point functionality takes the guesswork out of purchasing, so we're not scrambling with rush orders or sitting on excess inventory. Production costing is also far more accurate now, since landed costs and BOM costs update automatically instead of being calculated by hand, giving us a much clearer picture of real margins. On top of that, the three-way matching between POs, receipts, and invoices has caught billing discrepancies we would have otherwise missed, saving us real time and money on vendor errors. What do you dislike about Illumify ERP?

If this was a few months ago I would have said lack of training guides, but they have recently released some awesome in-app training materials that walk you through all features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Illumify ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were drowning in disconnected spreadsheets. Before Illumify, our BOMs, inventory counts, and costing all lived in separate spreadsheets and QuickBooks, and keeping them in sync ate up hours every week. Half the time, what finance saw didn't match what was actually happening on the floor. Illumify gave us one system where that data actually lines up. We had no real way to trace a lot once it left the building. If a quality issue came up, tracing a finished lot back to the raw materials that went into it meant digging through paper records and old files, sometimes taking days. Now we can pull that history in minutes, which has made audits and quality checks dramatically less stressful. Our purchasing was reactive, and our costing was a guess. We were either overordering and tying up cash in inventory we didn't need yet, or underordering and scrambling with rush orders. Costing was calculated by hand after the fact, so we rarely had a real-time sense of our actual margins.
