Inductive does all the right things with Ignition Pricing; à la carte licensing means I can scale down the license cost to fit the needs of small applications and add Enterprise Administration, Redundancy, and more to meet the needs of the really large applications. When customers ask about the cost of licensing, they are shocked to hear licensing is perpetual and fully transparent on the IA website. Finally, licensing is try until you buy, with unlimited trail resets. This lowers the barrier to entry and makes adding new licenses or modules a no-brainer.
Training is also spot on. IA invests in supplying training content through Inductive University that is relevant and up-to-date with the latest features to ALL, regardless of your yearly spend, integrator status, or any other industry barrier used by others.
As an integrator, your path to growing with IA is clear from the get go. enroll in IU to become registered, complete IU, and you are a credentialed integrator within weeks. From there, the milestones required to continue leveling up are clear. Throughout the process, you gain access to IA support, staffed with actual software developers who and ready to jump in and help you solve your problems. You call in and get a real person, quick response times from qualified individuals, and unlimited support. What more can you ask for?
The experience working within the Designer is also fantastic. The biggest barrier with Perspective is the paradigm shift needs to take place to reorient a "traditional HMI" developer with the modern, responsive design framework provided within Perspective. That said, once you understand how to use to the tools provided to you, you have essentially no limit on the user interfaces you are able to supply. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it seems like there are a handful of Vision components that have some nice pre-built features that make deployment easier. One that comes to mind, is the pre-built pens you can toggle on/off on Charts. You can recreate this in perspective using message handlers, etc, but have some more components with pre-built functionality like that would have use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
