"Ideals Board Streamlines Board Materials with an Intuitive, Centralized Library"

What do you like best about Ideals Board?

Ideals Board has been a valuable resource for organizing and managing our Board of Directors’ materials. One of its biggest strengths is the centralized document repository, which makes it easy for board members and leadership to access important materials anytime, from anywhere. The searchable document library is particularly useful for maintaining historical records and quickly finding board books, meeting materials, and other governance documents when needed.

Overall, the platform feels intuitive, and we’ve encountered very few technical issues. I also appreciate the responsive customer support and the easy-to-navigate Help Center. The Ideals team has been proactive in helping us understand the platform’s capabilities and in pointing out opportunities to make better use of the features available. What do you dislike about Ideals Board?

Our biggest challenge so far has been driving broader adoption among board members who are used to receiving materials by email or as PDF attachments. Although the platform includes tools like voting, meeting minutes, tasks, and electronic signatures, we haven’t fully woven these features into our board workflows yet.

As the administrator, I still handle certain steps outside the platform, which means we haven’t realized the full potential time savings at this point. I expect this will improve as board members become more comfortable using the system and rely on it more consistently.

We also ran into some early confusion around meeting invitations and the RSVP options. That said, customer support has been responsive and helpful in explaining how to configure the different meeting formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ideals Board solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ideals Board gives us a centralized, secure, and easy-to-access place for our governance materials. It has reduced our reliance on email and makes it much simpler for board members and leadership to find the information they need, when they need it.

The platform also creates opportunities to streamline board administration, strengthen engagement, and support more consistent governance practices. While we are still working toward fuller adoption across the organization, having a dedicated board portal has been a meaningful step toward modernizing how we manage board communications and materials.
