Romina and Katherine both did an excellent job getting our team onboarded. I do think that our business case was very complex though, and it probably would have benefited from a team physically coming to our facility to sit down with our team for a few days and bang out the process instead of single meetings over a long period of time. I don't think this was a mistake from the onboarding team at all, but more something to consider in the future when onboarding complex clients. **What do you dislike about Icicle ERP?** There is definitely an element of customization overload. I think this makes a great deal of sense when you are dealing with very technical administrators, but our team was not particularly technical, so this was a challenging part of the process. **What problems is Icicle ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Icicle was solving the issue of traceability for our company. With this, we were hoping to loop in inventory, purchasing, and demand planning all into the same system. ### 2. The more data you put in, the more you get out of it. QA, tracability, organized customer data (what they ordered last and which SKUs they carry etc), shipping and receiving, easy recall procedure and more. Also, appreciate the support team. Super knowledgeable and helpful. **What do you dislike about Icicle ERP?** For a small startup with limited funding and team members, the amount of data to compile, as well as keep on top of it enourmous. If you are a small startup like us, make sure you allocate enough resources and time to get this up and running... **What problems is Icicle ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to accumulate, store and access data from one place, rather than having 5-6 different programs to access and manually transfer data in between. It can bring downtime to our process. **What problems is Icicle ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** It consolidated all of our records and allowed an easier traceabiliy process. We have also been successful at implementing it in our inventory count process. I know what is in my freezer at all times. **What do you dislike about Icicle ERP?** trying to find things in icicle. its not very user friendly. Inventory is harder to do. All things have to stop until inventory is done. No data can be entered. Shipping/receiving still has to be done. we cant stop our business until inventory gets done. Scanners are about worthless. takes way to long to enter data. **What problems is Icicle ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** traceability **Official Response from Romina Puno:** > Thanks for your feedback. I have never had this level of support with any other MRP implementation. During the implementation many nuances related to the company came up and Icicle created new processes to support them. This was unexpected but very much appreciated. The system loads quickly and is mostly intuitive, but you do have to work with it to truly understand its full capabilities. I would suggest spending about 1 - 2 months using the system before you will become quite proficient at it. The comprehensive nature of the Food Safety section is impressive and quite exhaustive. The ability to ensure safety protocols are in place and address recalls is impressive. **What do you dislike about Icicle ERP?** The only issue I have with it in a make to stock business is the ability to forecast production off a budget. This would really help with purchase and labour forecasting. This is a potential addition they might consider adding to the software in the future. **What problems is Icicle ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Production forecasting, scheduling, purchase forecasting, detailed inventory costing and food safety. ### 9. It is versatile and broad in its application. It has been essential for our business as we take the next steps toward traceability and food safety. What sets them apart is the Team more than their software. They are quick to reply to an email or hop on a call and always willing to help how they can. They are very open to feedback and requests from their users. **What do you dislike about Icicle ERP?** The team is constantly working to improve Icicle. This means it is continually evolving and any user guide becomes out of date quickly. The team is always willing to train and troubleshoot over email or video chat, but it gives an incomplete picture of how Icicle could or should be used. They are also very open to customer feedback and requests for features. This means some features feel a bit piecemeal rather than intentional and purposeful. **What problems is Icicle ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Icicle has helped us to trace every jar that leaves our factory and our warehouse. It also has provided the framework to organize our HACCP program. ### 10.
