I have used some paid and some free screen recorder as Free Cam, KeepVid pro, Camtasia, Filmora Scrn, and OBS, I paid for KeepVid pro & Filmora, and for others, I use trial or a license from a friend. However, based on my experience Icecream Screen Recorder is good enough. You'll have all general features available to other recorders including annotating, webcam, webinars, etc. Like for Camtasia, you need to pay much but you will get top class editing as well. For OBS (new version) I have set up issue with my pc (Windows 7 without an external graphics card) I liked the annotating feature most and editing so far good enough. Not much to dislike, All recorders are close in terms of different features that they have included but it depends on you what features you need with your recorder.
