Devoted programming - some software doesn't automatically consider Red Hat based systems. Sometimes developers don't focus on testing it and maintaining the support for that distribution. Other times, the software can still be manually compiled for Red Hat, but it isn't necessarily packaged as RPM and not officially supported on Red Hat. The same is true the other way around as well, depending on the software.

Reduced productivity due to breaking habits - if you are already familiar with a distribution not based on Red Hat, like, say, Debian, then you may have developed habits that you would need to break if you move over to Red Hat. Not that you can't change your habits, learn new ones, just that the pain of change is real, and at least initially your productivity will suffer. Some will want to dismiss this argument as merely a transient one, but it still is a form of weakness.

Cost - if you are purchasing an RHEL license then you likely recognize the benefits and advantages accompanying it. Yet, for others, it isn't perceived as worth paying for, and they would prefer to benefit from using an alternative distribution, whether a free Red Hat based alternative, or a derivative/fork of something entirely different.
