## IBM Cloud Functions Reviews
  ### 1. IBM Cloud Functions User Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about IBM Cloud Functions?**

IBM Cloud Function is an excellent tool for overall data processing and representation. It is good for high demand data processing as well as documentation. It is very reliable and cost-efficient as well. Along with this, it works well with external service providers and is easy to learn even for beginners. It also has a wide variety of services for light weight micro systems. The documentation overall was easy to learn and displayed well in our system. The integration of the system was good as well.

**What do you dislike about IBM Cloud Functions?**

I think there should be more UI additions so it is easier to find events and have it more organized. I think it would also be better if it included more ML additions. I think there could also be more improvements from integration in services.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM Cloud Functions:**

Overall the product is good for scaling well and smoothly. IBM Cloud Functions also have a slight cost reduction when the application you are preparing doesn't' require said functions to be present.

**What problems is IBM Cloud Functions solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is good for application development and mobile development. It is also good for working with external service providers. For mobile development, it is especially useful for the backend portion of it.

  ### 2. Cost effective solution in cloud based solutions.

**What do you like best about IBM Cloud Functions?**

I liked the feature that it works very well even without many manual interventions from dev and support sentimental analysis to analyse the chats is a very good function from ICF.

**What do you dislike about IBM Cloud Functions?**

Even though it is supporting most of the functions effectively ,still it needs some more support and need to be integrated to receive some events from services like mongoDB and NOSQL dbs.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM Cloud Functions:**

It is a very best option for lightweight micro service development for cloud based applications.
If you are in need of integrating with many external service providers then ICF is a good choice to make.

**What problems is IBM Cloud Functions solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using IBM cloud functions to create enterprise level platforms to do event based processing. We are using ICF to get the data from backend systems also .

  ### 3. IBM Cloud Functions - Function as a Service (FaaS) Platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** anna r. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2018

**What do you like best about IBM Cloud Functions?**

IBM cloud functions are based on OpenWhisk . Apache OpenWhisk’s triggers which are used to launch serverless apps deployed on its platform are based on either webhooks or polling using a predefined schedule.

**What do you dislike about IBM Cloud Functions?**

Services like AWS Lambda are more scalable than IBM Cloud function service as it has also the support of AWS S3 . AWS Lambda and Azure Functions target their offerings as what Google Cloud and OpenWhisk can do, and they can be launched via an incoming event from one of many sources or by leveraging a schedule.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM Cloud Functions:**

OpenWhisk has an idea called sustains which include recovering a flood of information from a source framework. A feed can be fleeting and overseen inside the serverless capacity, or utilize an idea called associations which use an outside supplier with a determined association with the source framework

**What problems is IBM Cloud Functions solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using IBM to trigger a IoT application like when sensor passes certain value , IBM Function is triggered and the notification is send to cloud to perform certain actions .
