"Explainable Scoring That Strengthens Student Essays and Thesis Defense"

What do you like best about HUMMINGo?

I love that it doesn’t just function like an advanced spellchecker. When I run an essay through it, it actually evaluates the logical flow, the paragraph structure, and how well the student defends their thesis. I especially appreciate the “explainable scoring” feature: it tells my students exactly why they earned a B-minus and what they can do to improve, which makes my job as an educator so much easier. What do you dislike about HUMMINGo?

What really annoys me is how painfully literal it is. When I have a student who writes something highly creative, sarcastic, or deeply emotional, Hummingo completely misses the nuance. It sticks rigidly to the rubric and often penalizes strong writing simply because it doesn’t fit a standard mold. What problems is HUMMINGo solving and how is that benefiting you?

It really addresses the classic “English teacher burnout” problem. Providing 120 students with meaningful, actionable feedback on their writing is basically impossible without slipping into 60-hour weeks. Hummingo removes the grading bottleneck and improves turnaround time. Now my students get their essays back with detailed critiques while the assignment is still fresh in their minds, instead of waiting three weeks for me to finally work through the entire stack.
