"Easy, Practical Framework for Experimenting with AI Agents and Hugging Face Models"
4/5
What do you like best about Hugging Face smolagents?

It’s easy to understand and get started with, especially when compared to more complex agent frameworks. I also like that it works smoothly with Hugging Face models and makes it simple to experiment with AI agents and tools. Overall, it feels like a practical framework for quickly building, trying out, and testing AI agent workflows without adding a lot of unnecessary complexity. What do you dislike about Hugging Face smolagents?

The main thing I dislike about Smolagents is that it can feel a bit limited when you’re trying to build more complex or production-level workflows. Certain features take extra setup or customization to get working smoothly, and the documentation could be more detailed for beginners—especially when you start getting into advanced use cases. I also found that debugging agent behavior can be challenging at times, since it isn’t always obvious why something isn’t working as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
