What do you like best about Hiero?

Best software for VFX shots review with clients (directors). Very helpful for reviewing whole sequences. I like its flexibility in the timeline. Multiple shots and sequences can be reviewed. We can mark our shots approved and take notes on them simultaneously. Powerful software for reviewing VFX compositing shots and editing. Hiero is often used by many VFX studios nowadays very commonly because of its flexibility and integration with other Foundry products like Nuke and other software. Those who use Nuke for compositing will find Hiero easy to learn because its environment is similar to Nuke, only the node graph is not there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hiero?

I would like to have more editing flexibility, effects, and presets for my shots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hiero solving and how is that benefiting you?

In VFX, we have to deal with a bunch of shots, sometimes similar angle shots. In movies, we have to take care of minor details, such as camera angle, depth of field, color temperature, etc. Hiero helps us see our whole sequence and shots simultaneously. We can compare our similar angle shots with 100% accuracy using its multiple tools like stack, wipe, and so on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
