Hatchproof doesn't rely on people writing things down about themselves. I used to run reviews using 15Five, and I hated the weekly check-ins. Almost nobody actually filled them out, so by review time you were piecing together someone's whole quarter from memory. Reviews took a day or two to write for the team, and even then people played it safe. Nobody wrote honest, critical feedback, and by the time quarterly reviews came around you'd already forgotten the good things that happened months earlier. Hatchproof skips all of that. It picks up on how people are actually communicating and working day to day, so you have a real picture without waiting for someone to self-report. Before a 1:1, it gives me notes on how to approach the conversation with that specific person, which has made those conversations go a lot better. It also handles goal tracking, alignment, and feedback in one place, so none of it depends on someone remembering to write something down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'd love to see it pull in other personality and strengths assessments people may have already taken, things like Instinctive Drives or CliftonStrengths. Hatchproof has its own way of understanding people and it works well, but some of those other assessments go into more depth, and adding that detail in could make things even more accurate. It does seem to understand me better the longer I use it, so this might get better on its own, but a head start using assessments people already have would still be helpful.
