**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

The Paylocity system is user friendly. The system works seamlessly between each platform you can purchase in your suite. The support received by the account manager has been helpful and quick (most cases).

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

As of recent, we've had a few issues with the report writer. We believe it's not the most user friendly or easiest to use. If there were more training on how to build reports, that would be great. Support time has been slower as of recent, but averaged out over the last few years that I've personally used the system, it's been good overall. The AI piece has a long ways to go to really be considered helpful. Right now it just gives you articles from Paylocity's PEAK area to assist with troubleshooting, but doesn't answer questions fully and it can't pull real-time data from the system (like an employee's pay, how many hours did employee work within a time frame, etc.).

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paylocity is currently helping us with one of the reports that we've built in report writer. It's our 401K report that we have to send to our carrier each payroll. They're also looking at setting up 360 integration with our carrier that way we can hopefully do away with the report. That'll be a big help!

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

What sets Paylocity apart is how seamlessly it integrates everything from onboarding to performance tracking. Instead of juggling multiple disjointed systems, having a single, intuitive source of truth saves our team hours of administrative work and creates a frictionless experience for new hires from day one

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

While the employee mobile experience is great, the administrative backend can feel a bit fragmented. Streamlining the navigation between different modules and improving the speed of customer support for complex technical issues would make the platform much stronger.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paylocity solves the widespread problem of "app fatigue" by consolidating payroll, HR, time tracking, and benefits into a single, cloud-based source of truth. For employees, this eliminates the hassle of managing multiple logins and waiting days for HR responses, as robust self-service tools allow for instant access to tax documents and PTO balances. For managers and administrators, the platform automates complex multi-state tax compliance and streamlines workflows, which drastically reduces payroll errors and frees up valuable time to focus on strategic team growth rather than tedious paperwork.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

What I like best about Paylocity is how user-friendly and organized the system is. It makes managing payroll, employee records, and time tracking much easier. The self-service options are also very helpful because employees can access their pay stubs, benefits, and schedules anytime. Overall, Paylocity helps save time, keeps everything accurate, and improves communication between HR and employees.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

What I dislike about Paylocity is that some features can be a bit slow or complicated to navigate, especially when switching between different sections like reports and approvals. Certain functions, such as customizing forms or uploading multiple documents, could be more efficient. It also takes time for new users to learn all the tools available. Overall, while it’s a great system, there’s room for improvement in speed and ease of use.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paylocity is helping solve several business problems by streamlining HR and payroll processes. It reduces manual work, minimizes errors in time tracking and payroll, and keeps all employee information in one place. The platform also helps with communication, scheduling, and compliance tracking, which saves time and ensures accuracy. Overall, it makes managing employees more efficient and allows HR to focus more on supporting people rather than paperwork.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

I love how streamlined and user-friendly Paylocity is, especially for payroll. We import timekeeping from another vendor called WinTeam, but we're looking to switch completely to Paylocity because it's so simple. With Paylocity, creating batches in the system is incredibly straightforward and efficient. The onboarding process is also a breeze, especially with the I-9 forms that can be done in just a few clicks. I appreciate the self-service aspect for employees, allowing them to update their contact information and direct deposit details themselves, which saves us time. We also signed up for the garnishments service and really like the new MarketPay module for evaluating pay compared to competitors. Both modules have streamlined our processes, and I'm looking forward to exploring them further.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

One thing that has been challenging is a complication with the withholding forms task in the employee onboarding packets, which is an issue we previously tried to address. There's a scroll bar on the far right-hand side at the end of the form that sometimes employees miss because it is hidden. Employees must scroll all the way to the bottom to complete this task, and most applicants don't see it. This issue leads to extra emails and follow-ups, which is kind of a hassle. Although Paylocity said we were the only ones having this issue, it feels like a problem that others might have too. It hasn't become more streamlined, but more complicated, and I think they should find a solution to make the task more workable again.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Paylocity for payroll processing and employee onboarding, which it makes very streamlined. It's user-friendly, integrates our timekeeping systems, and offers self-service options for employees to update their information, saving time and increasing efficiency.

  ### 5. Strong HRIS System, but Troubled by Payroll Issues with no weighted overtime working correctly

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

I love that Paylocity is easy to use from beginning to end. I appreciate that it assists with our HR system and creates a lot of benefits for us. I enjoy using the email and texting features through recruiting because we use them a lot. The onboarding screen is another feature we use regularly. I also love Paylocity's HRIS system, and the customer service for Admin Support is amazing! Every time I call on the admin backside, they just bend over backwards to help you.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

We're having great difficulties and trouble getting our "weighted overtime" to work on the End of Paylocity which equates to that our Payroll does not spit out accurate information which would be a FLSA and Union violation, had we not had to have an outside CPA firm work to fix the numbers EVERY SINGLE Payroll (manually done by hand) that the Custom Calcs team is and remains unable to set up correctly to work. Even  though the setups were done by Mary Robertson, our account rep, and the custom Calcs team originally in full they stated, it is still not importing everything properly and is not paying overtime like it should (weighted OT in WA state requires not only the regular time, but also all of the shift differentials as a whole piece in order to determine the actual Overtime aka Weighted O/T as time and a half. This is a huge problem because we cannot produce our bi-weekly payroll without being forced to doing it manually along with an outside CPA firm to assist, which we don't want to do for obvious reasons. It might force us to leave Paylocity all together for a different system. Also, setting it up was a lot of work, and getting information off of Paylocity isn't easy either. When trying to pull a file, the process is lengthy and not straightforward, taking one or two hours to download a file for example for a Subpoena, and the information doesn't come out clearly at all even then.  It's not easy to pull someone's file when needed, for example, during a subpoena.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paylocity helps us with our HRIS and Onboarding, along with day-to-day HR making things easier from start to end.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

What I like best about Paylocity is the service team. They are very helpful and work to ensure your understanding of the product and help work out kinks of your integration of services. Reports are pretty intuitive and they can usually create any kind of report you need. Overall, I also like the peak articles and the ACA Dashboard is pretty intuitive as well.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

We have had some issues with the passwords for all employees needing to be reset as we integrated. It was a huge undertaking. I also had quite a few issues with the benefit setup process. The benefits dashboard is very manual in process and there are a lot of steps every time someone makes changes or elects benefits as a new hire. Integrating with our carriers has also been a bit of a chore. We have been with Paylocity since Feb 1 live and still have carriers not integrated with our EDI files.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reports are wonderful for getting information we need. Any time I need something tailored, I am able to get it handled. I also like the community aspect of it and that people can do shoutouts, create groups, etc. I also liek that there are articles at your fingertips for getting assistance when you don't know how to do something.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

Paylocity is a straightforward and effective system. It does what I need it to do without overcomplicating the process. I particularly love how thorough it is with local tax setups. At a time where I have more remote employees working from different states, this has been an incredible value add.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

I work in the creative industry so I very much appreciate the recent design overhaul. The early-days-microsoft-visuals weren't my favorite! The look and feel of this system does play a role in how much my employees are inclined to use it. This does not mean the design has to be complicated or fancy - just a bit more updated and clean. Love where it's at now!

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paylocity is solving the following problems for me / my team -

It's making payroll and and state/local taxes less complicated and easier to manage

It's reducing the time I spend tripping over system complications

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

The integration process was full-service by our Paylocity team and included training for every member of our team. The platform is user friendly and a serious upgrade to the previous system for Admin / Employee / Accounting experience. The payroll experience is streamlined, as well as our benefit integrations. We've saved countless man hours in account reconciliations. We're saving money and have a modern and up to date system. My favorite aspect is the community piece.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

My least favorite part about Paylocity is the reporting. I have difficulty with customizing the reports, and finding reports that come out with the information in the format I need. However, requesting custom reports is not difficult.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paylocity is solving the problems of arduous check reconciliations by using their own account to write paychecks, replacing our outdated expense reimbursement program, and ensuring 401(k) compliance by closing any gaps in our data entry by replacing our 180 bridge with a 360 bridge.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

Everything! Before Paylocity, we used a well-known payroll company just to run payroll, and we paid more for less. We didn’t have time clocks or an HR module, and the whole situation was truly ridiculous. They only offered us a discount after we put them on notice that we were ending our account, and then months later they sent a more competitive offer that included the HR module. But knowing they were taking advantage of a non-profit, shredding that piece of mail was so satisfying!

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

I honestly can’t think of anything I dislike. Were there bumps in the road at the beginning? YES, but in my opinion that is to be expected. I understand that moving an entire payroll system takes a massive amount of time and dedication by not only us, but Paylocity as well.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So many benefits. We didn’t have a time clock before, and adding one has helped cut down on the waste that was happening when employees recorded their own time on paper timesheets. We’re a non-profit organization licensed by the state, and we’re held to a very high standard, so reducing that risk matters. It has also cut down on potential onboarding errors.

Having the HR/Payroll, Time and Labor, and Performance modules has been a game changer for our organization. Our payroll isn’t average—it’s complex for most payroll companies. Before my tenure, the organization tried two other payroll companies in an effort to save money. Both said they could handle our payroll, but after each implementation it became clear they couldn’t.

Because of that history, it was honestly a little scary to hear another company say they could handle it. However, after a call with Paylocity where we walked through what our payroll would look like, I had far fewer doubts. Our implementation specialist guided us through the first two to three weeks of running payroll to confirm they could support our needs and to help our payroll specialist feel confident running payroll independently.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

I love that I can do all things HR and manage the entire employee life cycle in one platform.  I love the suggested questions and optional answers for the surveys and I love that new hires can start their onboarding from text and email.  I love that it condenses my payroll conversations where we can focus on less to-do's prior to running payroll.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

The only hiccup with Paylocity is that some tasks require far too many clicks. Often I'lll think that a task is complete only to find out that I have more clicks to complete.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After working in HR for nearly 15 years, it really has made it were I need less platforms to manage my daily task.  It also collects so much information that it becomes really easy to validate concerns with data and analytics.
