What do you like best about Granular?

I really like the field and crop plans. This allows us to put together extensive plans for the upcoming years so that we stay on track and can see when we veer off our plans. I also enjoy the plan, forecast, and actual function. Your initial plan (budget) gets updated as actual processes get completed with the actual costs being spent. By the end of the year the forecast is updated enough to know exactly where you're going to end up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Granular?

I don't like the grain inventory/management function at all. In fact it's so bad for our operation that we have to keep inventory in a completely different piece of software. I also don't like all of the workarounds that we've had to implement to make it work for our operation. I understand no software can completely cover the variety that farming across the globe encounters, but I wish it was a little more flexible rather than rigid with workarounds. What problems is Granular solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem that we solved was knowing our costs as the season progressed. Before we were always waiting for end of the year reports with our accounting software. We're getting up to date information that is allowing us to make huge management decisions. It's allowing us to keep up to date information as tasks are getting completed in the field. Also, we can look back at information and see exact inputs that we've been putting to every field. We didn't have that detail at our fingertips with that much ease before. We had the information but it was buried in multiple spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
