**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

I like the ease of use of Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM). I can quickly build a funding cycle from application to grantee follow-ups, often in less than an hour if the application questions are already written. The software is logical and makes sense. Reports are easy to build and quick to run. The addition of data visualization tools has improved our staff and Board's understanding of community impact.

There is a forum where customers can propose and vote on software upgrades. The Foundant team reviews these regularly and provides feedback. Updates to the software happen twice a year, I believe. The graphic interface continues to evolve for both the customer and its applicants. It is clean and visually appealing.  

The software pricing is affordable and much lower than what Foundant's competitors charge. 

Both online and telephonic support are available and staff are super friendly and helpful. You can tell they want their customers to succeed. 

AI summaries of applications are available, and Foundant is developing AI tools to provide a quick evaluations of summaries based on the customer's criteria.

**What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

There isn't much I dislike about GLM. I was initially confused by the structure of the software at first glance, but our onboarding representative made it easy to understand quickly. 

Some large datasets can take a while to load when viewing submitted applications or reports.

**What problems is Grant Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GLM has provided a repository for us to store and access current and historical data on our applicants and grantees. It has allowed both our finance and impact teams to track payments to grantees and report on available funds to our Board. 

It has greatly improved my ability to collect and track outcomes. The data visualization tool has improved our ability to display impact in a digestible format for non-data people. The ability to copy a form or an entire application cycle and reuse it for another grant process has been a lifesaver.

Prior to GLM, we relied heavily on Excel spreadsheets and simple online forms to collect data. These forms did not provide any data analysis and could not connect an agency's data from year to year.

**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

As a grant writer, I feel the software is above what I expect when having online opportunities to fill in grants. Now as a grant maker, I love the extra features that can be created to make the grant process easier! The implementation is easy to do and love the additional features of eligibility quizes, LOI evaluations all with the click of a button. We have had great customer service when it comes to adding additional features or learning more about the features we are including in our process.

**What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

My only 'dislike' at the moment is the inability to keep our login clean. We encourage all members of the organization that will be working on a grant to create their own account and use the collaboration feature, but then we struggle when leadership turns over, board members leave,etc. I have not found a good way for maintanence of this.

**What problems is Grant Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now able to keep all aspects of the grant process in one place. We can upload files with ease if we prefer to have a paper copy and then we can also streamline our evaluations to be online with everything being housed in one spot. The efficiency this is creating is huge!

**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

The best part of Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) is how it adapts to client needs and continues to improve client experience based on client feedback.  They are extremely helpful if a client is struggling with any part of the GLM process.  Between the support team and the implementation and product teams, they are in a continuous improvement loop that helps us as clients better serve our grant applicants.  This all has lead to better application experience across the users.

**What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

While the program continues to improve and the organization responds quickly, our organization could use some improvement in Organizational profiles and information we are able to capture there. We are a government organization and have restrictions on our funding and eligibility that we had to improvise to make work.  Mainly the requirement to produce a SAM.gov number and an internal state accounting number.  We also have some eligibility that it hard to capture on a form

**What problems is Grant Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed new grants management software.  We signed with Foundant because it has the 1) most responsive support and client success team, 2) the interface was user friendly for staff and for grant applicants, 3) it was entirely web based.  #3 was a lifesaver when our entire staff went remote during the pandemic.  We were able to continue our grant making, while keeping staff safe.

**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

We utilize GLM, SLM and CSuite. As program director I spend most of my time in GLM but the back end integration is very helpful and having the whole software suite makes it easy to find all the information I need quickly

**What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

The Sandbox. If you create a new process (or wish to update an old one), you can't test it properly because once your fake applicant answers a question, that question can no longer be deleted. I understand why this is important in the live site but why in the sandbox? In my mind, the sandbox would be useful if I could test a process, perfect the process and then have support migrate it to the live site. There is no current way to do this so I rarely use it.

Mangement of applicants, evaluators, and the entire process from start to finish. It's wonderful having it all in one place, and the software is user friendly, even for those that are intimidated by tech.

**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

Foundant has been a very useful tool for grant management on staff. We've also had a lot of positive feedback on the platform from applicants and evaluators. Staff is easily able to pull reports and review the metrics dashboard to keep track of tasks and report on our granting programs. Several applicants have noted that this platform is easier to use for applications and managing their grants than platforms other funders have used. Our reviewers have also commended the platform for being easy to use, particularly the side by side feature that allows them to read the application and score grants simultaneously. Overall, this is a product we would recommend to other funders.

**What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

While there are many upgrades to the platform, several of the upgrades are not yet at a stage that we can use them in our processes. We wanted to be able to use the Docusign integration but would like to be able to assign someone other than the applicant to be the signatory, as often times the authorizing signatory is not the applicant. We'd love to use the table feature to collect information about project teams, but the table feature has a very limited number of characters allowed. We'd love to be able to connect questions from different processes on our own to make reporting easier. We'd also like to be able to copy questions within the same application as often we are asking questions that require slight tweaks, such as asking for uploads of budgets from multiple years, and currently have to enter each question manually. However, these are small things we'd like to be able to do. Largely, the experience of using this product is very positive.

GLM allows us to manage numerous grant lines between multiple administrators and many reviewers smoothly and efficiently. It also is a great repository for our grant making data.

**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

I like pretty much everything about Foundant's Grant Lifecycle Manager system.  It is very user friendly for both me and applicants.  The customer service is amazing.  They always respond very quickly.  I frequently hear from applicants how much they like our system and how easy it is for them to navigate.  I would highly reocmmend it and have recommended it to several agencies.

**What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

There isn't anything that I dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager.  I would recommend it to anybody.

**What problems is Grant Lifecycle Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is what we use for our application process and follow up reports.  We also track payments through it.  It has streamlined all of these processes for us.

**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

GLM allows us to more effectively and efficiently manage our own grant processes as well as supporting our corporate fundholders. One of the hidden benefits that we've discovered is that our corporate fundholders are willing to pay a fee for service to partner with us on using GLM. We handle all the set up, due diligence, questions, and processing. They get to evaluate and make the decisions. Then we follow up and do all the post decision steps. We love being able to support our community in this way!

**What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

I've had great experiences with GLM and SLM. We've recently added CSuite, and I wish some of the help articles went a little more in-depth.

I love the automation of GLM in helping to manage my workflow.

Applicants rarely have issues, forms made easy with the ability to copy quesitons from previous forms.

**What do you dislike about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

Most issues with applicants happen when a new development person comes on board. I think it would be helpful once they idicate they are the primary to have access to all past applications.

**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

I have never had anything but fantastic interactions with Foundant. I analyzed 13 companies  before selecting Foundant, and they were the clear front-runner. There wasn't even a close 2nd place! They adapt when we need it, helped us develop a questionnaire for a PRI, and they are always around when we forget how to do something. They are great partners!

Nothing. They routinely ask and adapt their programs.

Managing requests for investments, partnerships and grants.

**What do you like best about Grant Lifecycle Manager?**

Our Foundation has been using GLM for over a decade and it has streamlined our grantmaking immensely. Our subscription to this service is some of the best money we spend every year. I couldn't imagine doing our work without it.

We haven't had any notable negative issues with GLM at all.
