I just wish if there was an option for converting PDF File to word file. I would be more happy if i can carry around this platform using an android app for gorilla pdf. **What problems is GorillaPDF solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gorilla pdf is solving problems of converting files with so much ease. I find this helpful in my office work as i don't need to do the typing for similar works all over again. ### 2. It's free: Yes, it's 100% free. I don't know how the team will sustain this in the long run; maybe they will choose to stay on a freemium model with tight limits or ads. But, at the time of writing, it's 100% free. 2. It's ad-free: I don't use an ad-blocker, but to my surprise, there isn't even a single ad on this website. It's so clean and distraction-free. 3. Generous limits: Yes, there are limits, but they are not so strict. Let's say I want to convert a text file to PDF; it's 50 MB per file (at the time of writing). I don't think you will find such generous limits anywhere. For jpeg to PDF, it's 100 MB. It might sound low to someone, but it's a lot generous. I have purchased Sejda PDF premium to deal with large files. Plus, there are no time limits, or I found none, which is impressive. 4. Lots of tools: To my surprise, it offers many tools that are hard to find elsewhere under one roof. You can convert many file formats to PDF, and they are adding more. 5. Loved their mission: I have not noticed an about page, except for GorillaPDF. They are working to promote the paperless culture, and I was able to resonate with it. Such details help connect better with customers. 6. Educating others: They have a blog where some authors explain what you can do with PDFs. I have never read anything, but it's worth mentioning. They also have a newsletter that keeps you up-to-date on the developments happening at the backend. **What do you dislike about GorillaPDF?** Well, a lot to dislike: 1. Unreliable - Most of the time, you can't convert your files as it just throws the typical 'something went wrong' error. And it happens after you're done uploading the files. It just makes it a bit unreliable to use. I use it when I am not close to deadlines. It wastes a lot of time if I upload a large file only to see that it failed to convert. On average, it works 6 out of 10 times. 2. Lack of basic tools: Well, it's really strange. They do have some very unique tools but lack some essential ones. It should be fine for some, but it's hard to switch for me. For instance, it does not have any feature to remove watermarks, crop PDFs, etc. 3. Slow support: A few days back, I tried to bring these issues through their contact form but never received any reply. They might have taken steps to rectify this, but at least they should reply that they have read that. 4. No app: I am a fan of apps. They make the experience faster and work reliably well during connectivity problems. They are fans of web apps. Not an issue, but worth a point. 5. No dark mode: Their website is full of bright colors. I either find myself turning the brightness down or forcing dark mode. Many such services don't offer it, but it's now a must-have feature. **What problems is GorillaPDF solving and how is that benefiting you?** Here's a list of problems I am solving with GorillaPDF: 1. I can convert any file to PDF. It makes it so easy to share while making it difficult to make edits. 2. I can potentially help me in unlocking password-protected PDF files. I haven't used it, but it's a must-have utility. 3. It comes with a handy OCR, which helps me to copy content from PDF files. 4. It comes with a nice PDF compressor which helps me share files faster without compromising much quality. ### 3. You do not have to be an expert or have any previous preparation to use its 17 pdf tools. **What do you dislike about GorillaPDF?** I like everything as it is free, easy to use and fast. I have not had any problems with any of their tools. Most PDF programs are quite complex and the UI is horrible or difficult to navigate. One thing I appreciate about GorillaPDF is that it's easy to use - for new users too. You can easily train members who will get it after 1 training session because of how easy it is to navigate on and use. It's also great with doing everything you need it to convert files into different formats. **What do you dislike about GorillaPDF?** It should allow for extremely large file sizes. Sometimes, it's impossible to start off with a low sized file...which makes it difficult to use any of the GorillaPDF options. **What problems is GorillaPDF solving and how is that benefiting you?** Majority of the time, you have to pay for a service to convert files to different formats...or when you convert them...the formatting of the original document looks misaligned. Used this a lot before we got actual software to do it. The quality is good and looks sharp, and able to take multiple file types and put them into pdf. **What do you dislike about GorillaPDF?** Once you convert to pdf, there is no editing with this. You would need adobe or some other pdf editing program to edit the pdf after you convert it in gorilla. Once you make the pdf, if you need to edit, you need to edit your original file and then reuse gorilla. **What problems is GorillaPDF solving and how is that benefiting you?** Most of my end-reports need to be in pdf.
