"Google Docs: Clean, Simple, and Seamlessly Accessible Across Devices"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Google Docs?

Having an interface which works everywhere is a blessing, Google Doc is one of them. It makes saving my data much easier, with a basic simple interface and a huge number of options similar to MS Office, making it perfect. Auto-saving data soon after one stops writing saves a lot of time; otherwise, in old MS Offices, if the PC shuts down, data is lost, but here the document is synced online. Making a roadmap and sharing the same document link with an authorized team, giving rights to what other users can do, read, or write helps a lot. Moreover, the user who works currently, their name displays, making it easy to share documents, and the best thing is you don't need your laptop or PC always; just open your Gmail synced, and your notes are there in your hand. No matter where you are, you can access your docs everywhere. It works very smoothly on all platforms, making it the first choice, and moreover, new tools are also there, which makes my work easy. I can use ready-made document templates and edit them according to my need, saving a lot of time and effort. Adding comments in your doc so that the next person opening it gets to know what was done, the last sync time also helps a lot. The interface is clean and simple but very smart. Not only as a document viewer, it helps to save my important documents like we used to save in manual hard copy files, with a well-maintained structure. I usually use heavy or unsupported documents in Google Docs, and it works, even with large language support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Docs?

Sometimes it lags while working with heavy or multiple documents. Google should do something to ensure it works very smoothly. One point I feel I don't like is that you should have an active internet connection; due to this, it makes me think if offline is better or online. Formatting documents with images makes it complex to handle; it lags in some cases. Search and Replace can be improved a little more to make work easy. One more point I dislike is it doesn't keep a backup; if I share a file with you and you are editing it, it should first save the old file backup, which helps a lot to save time. Forms can be improved, like creating a minor database; full customization rights should be given to the user, and sometimes working with advanced options is complex compared to the offline version. More templates can be added, and free data should be provided. It should also have a Bin folder so that any file deleted by mistake can be recovered, which helps in saving time as well.
