What do you like best about Google Container Registry?

1. It is very tightly integrated with many Google cloud platform services.

2. Extremely simple to connect it with Docker for desktop.

3. Containers can be stored private as well as public.

4. It has a nifty security scanning tool which not just scans for any vulnerability but also points towards them and even provides some inputs.

5. It uses cheap google cloud storage for storing all the imgaes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Container Registry?

1. Google cloud registry without Google cloud platform is a bad deal.

2. Need Google cloud storage for storage purposes.

3. It Doesn't make much sense as a standalone product.

4. Needs to be discrete about the access control otherwise the images can expose sensitive information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Google Container Registry:

1. It is the best solution if you are deep into the Google cloud platform.

2. It nicely integrates with almost all GCP products.

3. Pay attention to its access control, or you may expose it to the public.

4. It even has quite nifty security scanning features, so make sure to use them properly and implement any points that my arrive from it.

5. If you use Google Kubernetes service, then look for nothing other than the Google container registry.

6. Invest some time in its access control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Container Registry solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. A public and private storage location to save & store all my docker containers. Even some other which supports OCRs.

2. Share docker images with clients, team members.

3. Package them as a micro-service container that will be eventually deployed at the Google Kubernetes Engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
