"Google Cloud Text-to-Speech Made Our Event Alerts and Announcements Effortless"
4/5
What do you like best about Google Cloud Text-to-Speech?

I used this in my college project for an event management system. When the faculty created an event and the event time arrived, I used the Google Cloud Text to Speech API. When the API call occurred, it played a beep and the counter started. I also used it to generate speech from text, so we could provide announcements or instructions to students in an AI-based voice.

I used the same idea in another AI-based PDF-to-speech converter project, where the Cloud Text-to-Speech converter turns the text into speech to help understand the topic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud Text-to-Speech?

I still have a student account, but when I was creating the API in the Google Cloud Console, the first thing required was setting up a billing method. As a student working on a college project, I feel there should be a different verification option so students can use it for free without needing billing details upfront. Also, depending on the voice models, there were different limits for the free quota, and the available voice quality also varied from one voice to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
