**What do you like best about Google Cloud SQL?**

I like the way Google Cloud SQL is designed. It's very simple and easy to start using. You don't need to be an expert, just understand how to use any product. It's very user-friendly and convenient. It also lets you see what's in the different sections, and the tutorials are absolutely fine. I like that a lot.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?**

I haven't created any SSRS packages using Google Cloud SQL because it's too tedious. Sometimes it also takes time to create a service package if it's a stored procedure or something like that. I heard it from some people, and honestly, I didn't find it that appealing, and it can be improved.

**What problems is Google Cloud SQL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google Cloud SQL solves my need for cloud architecture, eliminating the hassle of maintaining on-premise servers. It's a relief not having to ensure server uptime. I log in, connect SQL to dashboards effortlessly, and focus on my work.

**What do you like best about Google Cloud SQL?**

I like that there are several different database types that can be used within it, it allows for more freedom and better architectural design based on needs.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?**

I feel that the billing of this product is a bit difficult to understand. It's hard to understand how exactly the cost is calculated and what it is made up of.

**What problems is Google Cloud SQL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows for hosting many different types of SQL servers which allows us to have our SQL databases in the cloud and easily connect them to other GCP services being used. It connects with other Google products and allows for a nice unified dashboard where we can look at instance information, usage, querying, data, and more.

**What do you like best about Google Cloud SQL?**

I really appreciate how easy it is to set up and manage Google Cloud SQL. The automated backups and seamless scaling are incredibly helpful. Knowing our data is backed up regularly without manual effort gives us peace of mind, and being able to handle traffic spikes without downtime is a big plus. Integration with other Google Cloud services also makes it very reliable and saves us a lot of operational time. The initial setup was straightforward, and the clear documentation made the process smooth, from provisioning an instance to setting up backups and high availability.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?**

One area that could be improved with Google Cloud SQL is pricing transparency — costs can increase quickly as storage and instance sizes scale. Also, deeper performance tuning options and more granular monitoring insights would be helpful, especially for more complex or high-traffic workloads. I'd like more granular control over performance parameters without needing workarounds or downtime. For example, clearer visibility into query-level resource consumption and more flexible tuning of memory and connection limits would help optimize performance more precisely. On the monitoring side, deeper real-time insights and more customizable alerts would be valuable. While the current metrics are helpful, having more detailed breakdowns (like per-query latency trends and clearer bottleneck identification) would make troubleshooting faster. It would also be great to see more built-in performance recommendations tailored to workload patterns.

**What problems is Google Cloud SQL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google Cloud SQL manages database infrastructure, handling maintenance, backups, updates, and high availability. It saves us from server management, reduces downtime, and allows focus on app development. It's easy to set up, and automated backups and seamless scaling save operational time.

**What do you like best about Google Cloud SQL?**

I love that Google Cloud SQL eliminates the need to manage infrastructure, which is a huge relief. I find it easy to use and simple, which makes my work smoother. The high availability and maintenance features significantly reduce risk and operational time. I appreciate its integrations with other Google services like BigQuery, as these make deployments and scaling straightforward. Ensuring ACID transactions and having automatic backups are essential features for me. Setting it up was very simple and close to managing our own SQL database, which was a pleasant surprise.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?**

I think pricing transparency and cost optimization tools could be better. Pricing should be more granular and easy to forecast. Right now, we get estimates across compute and storage, egress among others. We would prefer to have a real-time cost simulator that models total monthly cost based on previous usage patterns.

**What problems is Google Cloud SQL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't need to manage infrastructure with Google Cloud SQL. It provides high availability, automatic backups, and simple integrations with other Google Cloud services, making deployments and scaling straightforward.

I like how seamless it is to transform and manipulate multiple data tables from multiple sources using Google Cloud SQL. It helps me locate and analyze data very quickly and easily, making my day-to-day job much easier. The initial setup was very easy and seamless, allowing me to get started with my credentials within a few days of starting. I find Google Cloud SQL impressive in how it stores and is able to transform data into actionable insights, and it is a very scalable tool.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?**

Sometimes it can be difficult integrating other pipelines using different coding languages, this would definitely help give it more of an edge.

**What problems is Google Cloud SQL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Google Cloud SQL for data analysis, joining tables easily, transforming data seamlessly, and quickly extracting insights. It makes locating and analyzing data very easy, simplifying my daily tasks.

I like how easy it makes managing databases. Setup, scaling, and backups are straightforward, so I don’t have to worry much about ongoing maintenance.

**What do you dislike about Google Cloud SQL?**

Sometimes the pricing can be confusing, especially when usage spikes unexpectedly and it’s hard to predict the impact. Also, some of the more advanced configuration options feel a bit limited compared with running and managing your own database server.

It takes the headache out of managing database servers things like updates, backups, and scaling so I can focus on building apps instead of stressing over infrastructure. It saves me time and helps reduce the risk of mistakes, which makes my day to day work feel a lot smoother.

Google Cloud SQL provides a reliable and easy way of setting up databases for my product. It is also easy to integrate with other platforms required for my project. Scaling and traffic management can also be managed very easily with Google Cloud SQL.

The cost of high-availability instances sometimes geta bit high for smaller projects.

I use Google Cloud SQL to manage my data storage across different apps and services. I can handle backups, replication, scaling and all from one single dashboard only which really simplifies my working.
