## GoodData Reviews
  ### 1. GoodData Saves Time with an Intuitive, Executive-Ready Dashboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dibyendu G. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

So GoodData has saved me time in that it puts all my information into one place so i don’t have to search through multiple websites for my numbers. After a long day at work i really come back to the dashboard as i am able to view kpi’s without having to create a complex query each time. I’m happy to say that dragging & dropping the chart function works well and did not fail me when i needed to put together a presentation for the executive team last week. The non-technical people on my team are able to utilize this system, which was a major goal of ours.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

It becomes slow (noticeably) when trying to process larger than normal datasets which is very annoying. When exporting excel files they always appear unprofessional (sub-totals and grand totals all stacked up) and i would never send an exported file to a client without having to re-format it myself. Also, every single time you make a query you must wrap the column name(s) in quotes which may be a small pet peeve but it is certainly frustrating when doing it over and over again.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we used good data, we pulled data from about 3-4 places and somebody had to spend hours compiling it, and it wasn't even always correct. With good data all of our data is in one location and reports reflect what is going on in real-time so we are no longer making decisions based off of last weeks number.

  ### 2. Saves Time with Multi-Source Metrics and Flexible, Customizable Dashboards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin P. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

The fact that I can pull in metrics from probably twelve different sources and then look at them all together in one screen (instead of having to make a new spreadsheet each morning) has saved me a ton of time. The data explorer is super-easy to flip through and I’ve even started making real-time queries directly from the dashboard settings screen; this has definitely saved me some time. Noisy in here today so I’m getting lost easily, but yes – the customization is great and as long as you’re tracking either numbers or graphs based on your needs, they don’t make you use only one layout.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

The P.L.T.V. Model stuff took me way too long to figure out. And like, there isn’t an obvious place to start, you sorta just mess around until something clicks and also, the benchmark setup is okay, but I think it could be 2 fewer steps. Petty complaint, but the default colors on all the graphs are awful, and I end up changing them all the time. Support answers very quickly, which is good, however - sometimes the response is “go check the Docs”, and the Docs… are a lot.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had all of our marketing data scattered across multiple locations and none of us were looking at the same number, which made our meetings a disaster. Now we have all of the information in one location, and the sales team and the marketing team are at least fighting over the same numbers, which is a victory. Automating the Dashboards means I am not building the same reports every week.

  ### 3. Strong Data Modeling That Keeps Everyone on the Same Page

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Volha P. | QA Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

I really like how GoodData performs with its data-modeling. Once all the metrics have been correctly defined, everyone is working off the same information and no one is disputing whose spreadsheet is correct. I am often on the couch (half) watching TV and can easily find what I need, without it becoming an ordeal. We don't have to export manually and/or receive "Can you resend that file?" emails.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

The initial setup for GoodData is not for the faint of heart. Petty complaint: When something goes awry in the defining of a metric, the error message is usually so vague it may as well say, "Something is wrong - figure it out." Minor annoyance. Documentation varies based on what you want to do.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having five different people build reports five different ways, and numbers never agreed upon during meetings. It also allows non-technical people to view their data without having to ask for help each and every time, thus greatly reducing back and forth communication. And for clients that require visibility into their own performance data, the ability to embed our reporting into their site eliminates us from having to create a new reporting solution for them.

  ### 4. GoodData has streamlined Data Prep but pricing is still an issue

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donnie M. | Chief Revenue Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

The actual reason we stayed using GoodData was because of the Drag and Drop Workflow Builder; you plug in tools (like Legos) onto a canvas and even non-coding personnel can build and run their own workflows without bothering Engineering personnel. I had some non-technical personnel train on it in under a couple of weeks and they were able to do ETL Jobs independently which really surprised me.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

Performance slows down significantly when dealing with very large datasets, because it loads into memory instead of processing in-place, therefore, if you do not have sufficient hardware, you will notice it. There is no version control built-in, which in today's world, is frankly unbelievable; Collaborating on Workflows feels like it is stuck in 2012. Minor pet peeve, but annoying nonetheless: it does not allow for Notepad or Word Files to be used as input; you need to reformat the file prior to even starting.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to using GoodData, our data preparation process was manual work in Excel and custom SQL scripts that took us hours every week and caused errors every time we modified something. GoodData replaced this process with reusable, automated workflows that perform the same cleaning, blending and transformations on a scheduled basis without requiring anyone to sit at a computer manually performing these functions.

  ### 5. Easier way to organize and present company performance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark F. | Insights Analyst, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

What I love is it enhances my communication of results throughout the company. I can also deliver formatted dashboards pointing out major points, rather than using spreadsheets. I can customize what I see to different teams by the number of features which makes things relevant. This has enabled my work to be more effective, as individuals will be more dependent on the data that I present.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

One negative thing I have observed is that, developing more detailed dashboards in GoodData may be time consuming. Some rigs are more demanding and can be difficult to make quick adjustments. This impacts my job whenever I am required to act quickly to business demands. It may also cause delays as multiple requests are processed simultaneously.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The largest issue GoodData resolves on my behalf is the lack of organization of data provided to me by various sources. I would spend a lot of time doing preparations and combination of information manually. All this is now displayed in templates. This allows me to work more quickly and insight oriented rather than preparation-oriented.

  ### 6. Offering individual and safe analytics to all of our clients

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier H. | Analytics Engineer, Chemicals, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

The strength of GoodData is in its strong data integration features, which enables us to easily get data of different sources. I find its built-in analytics especially appealing; we can add our own dashboards to our apps and have end-users access data without leaving our platform. This offers a customized, branded experience to our clients, which is priceless to their self-service requirements.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

The first installation needs a lot of technical skills. Report generation can be a slow process with very big datasets sometimes which can affect on instant decisions. The user interface, though practical, is not necessarily the most user-friendly one to non-technical members of the team.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodData has helped us resolve our issue of fragmented data. Previously, our vital business information was spread across a myriad of systems and manual exports and consolidation in excel sheets were a painful experience that resulted in a dated insight. It now brings all this into real-time, interactive dashboards. This is advantageous to us in that it gives us one source of truth, enables the teams to make informed decisions within a short time, and this can greatly enhance their operational efficiency and market responsiveness.

  ### 7. Building and customizing powerful, interactive dashboards for our business users is very fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Admir M. | Data insights manager, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

The inbuilt analytics of GoodData are a revolution. We adore interactive dashboards being embedded in customer portal and providing clients with self-service insights. Its sophisticated data modeling also allows us to model some complex metrics to fit well in different business units. I like the possibility to design very customized reports. This actually gives our users actionable information where it is most required without having to keep on requesting our team.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

The only drawback of GoodData that is practically feasible is the learning curve, particularly when non-technical users are getting into custom metrics or the analytical language. Although the dashboard creation interface is powerful, it is not always the most user-friendly, and it may involve too many clicks to make some quick changes. In addition, loading of very large and complex datasets may be at times slowed down. It is quite strong, yet it needs some dedication to master it completely.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issue of slow, manual data sharing has been completely resolved by GoodData. Our clients and internal teams have always demanded custom reports before, which kept the analysts occupied hours of the week. Today, all people have access to self-service real-time dashboards that fit their requirements. This has changed the nature of data accessibility where insights are instant and decisions are made at all levels. Our team can now afford to do more in-depth analysis, not necessarily report generation.

  ### 8. Brings scattered information together for clearer business visibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Armado M. | Revenue operations manager, Newspapers, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

The key features of GoodData that I like are the possibility to centralize information and present it in a convenient way when the data come in many different sources. With the integration of it with Salesforce and Sheets, I will be able to handle data in a systematic manner. Its visualization, dashboard, and automated alerts capabilities are quite convenient. It enables me to move swiftly in response to the tendencies, maintains the alignment of my staff, and eliminates the stress of handling disjointed information.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

In my experience, the software is not necessarily easy to use when it comes to the set up of exact dashboards. Personalizing of the visualizations and filters may require additional time, which may affect the productivity. Although it has a broad range of features, sometimes it may need additional effort and attention to use them effectively to create customized reporting.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodData assists in the consolidation of data across different platforms into the easy to understand dashboards. I am able to monitor key indicators, identify trends and share information with ease. This is of advantage to my work in that it minimizes errors, accelerates decision making, and keeps the team updated. It is also useful to my colleagues as it forms a coherent picture of data that all people can rely on.

  ### 9. Seamless Database Integration with Powerful, Customizable Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Toby S. | System Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

This tool integrates seamlessly with a variety of databases and delivers a wealth of information drawn from the data. It also makes it easy to extract and visualize data in different ways, and what I appreciate most is the extensive report customization it offers. On top of that, the user interface is simple, clean, and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

I think it’s the perfect platform for managing everything in one place. It’s very efficient for handling large amounts of data, and overall it makes staying organized much easier. Honestly, I haven’t found anything negative so far.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product is very efficient for managing our reports and offers plenty of options to fit our needs. It has helped us build an analytics module for our clients, and I’ve also used it to create custom reports. Overall, it gives us a variety of perspectives on the data, which makes analysis clearer and more useful.

  ### 10. A solution which teams understand store performance during planning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erminia C. | Online retail optimization manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about GoodData?**

What I like the most in GoodData is that it enhances business outcomes visibility within our online retailing business. With platform review, we can present straightforward pictures when we look at the results of campaigns and leadership teams have an easy time reading them. I also enjoy relating the knowledge derived in other systems such as Salesforce and Google sheets such that our marketing and sales teams can communicate about the same performance perspective.

**What do you dislike about GoodData?**

A limitation that I have realized about GoodData is that it can be limiting at times to modify existing dashboards, when the business needs a different one. We often change the manner in which we package the campaign results in our e-commerce department and sometimes even updating those layouts takes more time than we anticipated.

**What problems is GoodData solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my day to day work as a supporter of an online retail team, the issue that GoodData addresses is the common one: when teams were meeting, they used various spreadsheets and produced inconsistent findings. Taking the common dashboards everyone can now view the same information when comparing promotions or performance of the stores. This has simplified communication with marketing and management.
