What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

The first thing I like about GoodData is the combination of data visualization, reports, and analytics on the same platform. The dashboard is very well structured, and once you get familiar with it, you will be able to create dashboards and explore metrics without difficulties. In particular, I appreciate the ability to configure dashboards according to my reporting requirements rather than use some templates.

In addition, I like the capability to integrate data from other sources. Therefore, working with business data does not involve moving from one tool to another. Moreover, the availability of reusable metrics and the semantic layer allows maintaining consistency of reports. What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

Another aspect that could be worked on at GoodData is the learning curve, particularly for those users who do not have previous experience with business intelligence tools. Despite being quite intuitive, there might be some trouble when it comes to grasping all the nuances of semantic layer, data modeling and advanced settings.

In addition, performance can be an issue while dealing with complex dashboards and big volumes of data depending on the underlying data source and configuration of queries. Some reports will need further optimizations to run quickly enough.

The GoodData platform offers a solution to the issue of fragmented business data and unreliable reporting practices. Instead of gathering information in various ways and creating reports separately, the tool offers a place to analyze all the necessary data and track metrics. It has a very good support system.

The semantic layer offered by GoodData is especially useful since it allows defining business metrics and avoiding any misunderstandings while different people analyze the same information. Moreover, the ability to conduct AI-assisted analytics allows getting even more out of data by asking it questions using natural language instead of building a report manually.
