I love the concept of the workflows and their integrations with other services. The sales people did a great job of highlighting all of the potential. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?** They will schedule meetings and sometimes just don't show up. Their integrations are actually extremely limited. The workflows actually have very little customization. For example, you can't remove unused sections at all or add certain crucial fields, such as payroll deductions. When rehiring someone, it creates an additional copy of that person. This is especially frustrating when you use a temp service and and up with a dozen copies of the same person. Customer support is very hit or miss - sometimes they'll get back to you immediately, and other times will just leave you on read and not get back until you poke or prod a couple of times. **What problems is QuickBooks Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeps our HR world all in a central location. ### 4. When communicating with an associate to reconcile changes to my benefits, he was very helpful and quick to respond. But, you get what you pay for I suppose. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?** The lack of response to issues that are still occuring after over a year of implementation, not receiving truthful information about what the system can and cannot do, not having the access to areas that we should be able to update ourselves (benefits, deductions, memos, codes, etc.), the fact that we were not told that an outside payroll provider was going to process payroll, having to correct payroll issues EVERY single time we run it ... and more. **What problems is QuickBooks Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** They did solve the issue of me having to pay our taxes to the IRS and State. Onboarding has become easy for all hires, even those less technologically inclined, and we rarely have issues even with our remote field employees. The workflows make our processes so much more streamlined and efficient. The benefits module is pretty slick and robust. Our service team is phenomonal, and I almost always get a response and solution on the same day unless I email them late. Their training and help site are very good. They are continuously upgrading things that customers request. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?** Some of the advanced features are complicated and take a decent amount of time and effort to learn and become comfortable enough with to be useful. We have had several issues with API integrations with benefit carriers. There were a decent amount of set up parameters that were not discussed in detail during implementation that created some headaches later down the line. Not all the features work as pristinely as marketed, but well enough for the cost of GoCo. **What problems is QuickBooks Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** GoCo provides a quick and easy onboarding and benefit solution for a remote, professional and field workforce. It also allows us to create workflows to make our processes efficent. ### 35. It made it easier to manage time sheets, invoicing, and expenses. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?** Cost. It is kind of like "Mac" in that, Apple products work best when you have an iPhone, Apple TV, and Macbook computer - but the cost can really add up compared to a Windows PC, and Android Phone, an LG watch, etc... But man, it works smoothly. Same with QuickBooks, if you are all-in on that environemnt thigns tend to work well together, but the costs can start to add up, and if you have needs that it doesn't meet you either go without or run simultaneous systems. **What problems is QuickBooks Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used QuickBooks for our small business accoutning needs (invoicing, revenue, expenses), QuickBooks Payroll integrated well, especially since we used a QuickBooks time tracking service. ### 36. They are very interactive, easy to use. I love the quick onboarding process that helps us ensure no paperwork is missed. I love the reminder feature and that we can set the order for signing documents. I love that it auto-archives when you ask for an updated document and the document expiration feature makes my heart sing! I really do love this program. The pricing is very fair in my opinion and the Start up Process was fantastic. I love the interactiveness of this program and if I was in a different job setting we would use it MUCH more to keep the team interacted. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?** The hardest part about GoCo for our company is that it really does work best on Computers. Most of our crew does not have computers at home and we are a "Field Based" organization, so we were planning to use the mobile features primarily, which could use some work. It is not easy to navigate for the older people on our crew, and many people (of any age) cannot see documents correctly or fully on their phones. The one other feature that is great but hard at the same time is when creating a document the only available options for feedback/responses are "required and not required". This gets difficult when you are doing legal documents (such as a W4) and, for example, you cannot require them to select Married, so you have all the options Single, Married, Head of Household, but they are all "Not required" for them to select, so people often miss them as they are just looking for the prompts of the required items. This is partially a user area but it would be VERY helpful to be able to have a selection required from a group of options as an example. Lastly, Response times. When we were onboarding with GoCo and starting up the response times were FANTASTIC. The information we received was abuntant and plentiful. However, almost a year in and typically it is 2-3 days for responses, which isn't ideal when you have a issue that needs fixed quickly in your system. We also have had to remind them of follow up information we have needed a few times, which overall isn't a huge deal but as a customer is not the most fun thing to have to remind when you are paying money monthly. **What problems is QuickBooks Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?** Overall input time is what is being saved most. GoCo has allowed me to reduce the time to collect documents for all new staff because after the initial document set up, it was all ready to go and I was able to make sure it was automatically ready for each new tech. I can easily add or remove specific documents as needed on a specialty basis as well. I also love the Employee profiles. You get ALL the information you need in ONE place and it is all VERY easy to see, as a person who has been doing all the HR on paper file folder this was a HUGE time saver. ### 37. Employees can see their time off at a glance and request time off easily - then have that time off show up on the company calendar. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?** As of now, I don't see where an employee can work with two different departments, two different pay rates, and have a manager assigned to each department. GoCo allows employees to request time off and make changes to that request.
