You can use the Vyond Go feature to create an animated video from scratch or use the full editor to start from blank scenes and build everything out as you like. The character lip-sync feature is pretty amazing and makes conversation look professional. I use this program all the time in my current role as an instructional designer and it's simple to complete video projects. Their customer support team is incredibly responsive as well. **What do you dislike about Vyond?** There are some features that aren't as user-friendly and easy to figure out as I wished they were. One example is that grouping can't be done on objects that are cropped and that can make things complicated for some animations. **What problems is Vyond solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vyond is a tool that allows us to create videos with characters. WIthout this program, I don't know how we'd create the instructional videos we need for our e-learning courses as we're remote workers and filming in-person (or paying someone to film themselves) would be too expensive. I've tried similar programs, such as Toonly and Powtoon, and Vyond is the best tool I've come across so far. ### 2. It allows for rapid iterations and customizations. I really like that I can show visuals to stake holders in just a few hours and do not have to leverage multiple tools for this. On that same note, I do love that when I am working on the final product, I can easily leverage tools like the Adobe Suite to really customize the product. The stock options provided in Vyond are great! I also like all the features that are regularly added and all the opportunity to attend training sessions that fit into a busy schedule. The bootcamp sessions are really valuable, especially if the user does not have a solid background in graphic design, video production or animation. I have also attended a variety of the webinars, and I always have great take-aways that I can apply immediately to my projects. I also have to rave about their Customer Support. I have contacted them with questions twice, and both times the attention I received was top-notch! **What do you dislike about Vyond?** I would like to be able to label assets in the timeline. My team is highly collaborative and it is not rare for one team member to start a project and another to come in to give it finishing touches. To be able to see what a "Group" is on the timeline would be great. It allows you to upload a document adn with the click of a button, VYOND creates an editable video and script which saves you time going through the creative process. I was able to use this feature to pitch a project that would reduce the onboarding process at our company. I do find it easy and it was easy to implement as it's a web based subscription. **What do you dislike about Vyond?** The only thing I dislike about VYOND is that there isn't a huge variety in industrial scenes and find myself using the same business friendly industrial for multiple projects. The drag-and-drop functionality makes it easy for users, even those with no prior animation experience, to create professional-looking videos. The platform offers a wide range of templates and characters, it has significantly reduced the time required to produce high-quality training materials. The customer support is really great! When I reached out to the team they were able to immediately address my questions, acccess the project I was working on and make recommendations. I've also found that the Vyond is easy to integrate into the programs I use to build trainings. For example, adding a video to Articulate is really easy. Editing is easy, for someone who had never used the program before I was able to play around with the program and easily create a video. **What do you dislike about Vyond?** There are a few things, the ability to edit the action moves of a character is a big one. While there are a variety of action moves, if I need to make changes to those moves there isn't a way to make those changes that I was able to find. The inability to change a lot of the voices (tempo, tone, etc.). While I have the enterprise level access which provides the ability to make changes, a lot of the voices I would like to use (due to the more realistic sound) does not allow for editing. **What problems is Vyond solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the biggets things it solves for is the text to voice, I'm extremely exctied for the upcoming changes (the ability to download just audio files). Since we do not have an audio studio available to my team, this is a huge benefit. Also Vyond solves some of our needs when it comes to creating animations. ### 23. The Vyond team is so quick getting back to you if you have any questions - within minutes. I love the Vyond plus Storyline webinars to teach you how to use Vyond in your Storyline projects. I've made a lot of courses, but the most interactive/engaging courses have always had an element of Vyond in it. People remember stories, and nothing brings a story to life like Vyond! There are so many elements to customize your characters to make them look exactly like people in real life (like a CEO). The new features built in with the Wellsaid voices take it to another level. Love that we can customize characters for stories. Love that the editing is very easy to learn and yet allows us to edit the smallest things. The new AI capabilities are a good way to get started on a new video; however, I still start from scratch for most of my videos for training. I like that I can add background music and turn down the volume settings for when a charactor (or narrator) is talking. The AI voices (text to voice) are continuing to get better and better. Some of the AI voices are awesome and sound like real people. Some of them don't. I also love the "add camera" features that keep the motion going. **What do you dislike about Vyond?** A bit pricy if you don't use it a lot. Make sure you're going to use it a lot before buying. We use this very often to add interesting stories and explainer videos to go into our eLearning. If you don't have the Enterprise version, which we do not, it doesn't give you WellSaidLabs with your subscription. We looked into getting that feature, but found out if you get it, it still doesn't give you all the editing capabilities for the AI voices that WellSaidLabs has as a standalone product. So, we decided not to get the Enterprise version because of that. **Recommendations to others considering Vyond:** Vyond does offer a free trial for you to try it before you buy it. It is a great tool if you want to spice up your eLearning with more interesting animated videos. You should be able to think creatively in order to use this tool to its fullest capacity. The illustrations are polished a professional and are helpful to discuss serious matters where you do not want to record real people (ie. talking about an incident). We frequently use the character creator to create an employee's likeness - our finance group explaining how we make money in a monthly series - it is close enough so that people can make the connection, but far enough that if someone were to leave, there are no major issues with the character remaning. I've made my last 20 or so videos completely inside of Vyond's platform, and I expect I'll keep using this for a long time. The one great feature I'm using more and more is the ever-expanding template library. This offers artifacts, thematic groups, and other unique items that are easy to integrate into other projects either as a whole or in pieces. The fact that they keep adding new templates in a range of different styles means its easier to be more creative as well instead of falling back on the same comfortable features. You can send the video to someone and they can share it. To keep the learners attention, I embed numerous short videos in my courses. Before I started using Vyond, I'd write a script, record the voice-over, generate the video content (typically using PPT), sync the voice with the chopped up video, add annotations and transitions, and then render the result. Now all I do is cut and paste the script into Vyond and press the generate video, perform some touch-up editing, and voila!!! It takes about 10% of the the time relative to the old way. And the results get the job done. The other two things I really like about Vyond is (1) the regular updates and guidance provided by the Vyond support team and (2) the frequent enhancements made by Vyond, some of them from requests that I have made. **What do you dislike about Vyond?** I put a request in for an option to have Vyond use the exact script I cut and paste when using AI to generate the video. My understanding is that Vyond is adding that feature in the next update one month from now. **What problems is Vyond solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating a custom video using the AI feature results in a fine result in one-tenth the time using the conventional way using PowerPoint, Camtasia, and Audiate. ## Vyond Discussions -
