"Excellent Salon Software, but Customer Support Needs Improvement"

What do you like best about GlossGenius?

After more than 30 years in the beauty industry, I’ve used different systems to manage my business, and GlossGenius is hands down a step above Square for salon professionals!

One of my absolute favorite features is their White Glove onboarding service. Having my existing client information transferred when switching platforms was a HUGE plus! That alone made the transition so much easier and took away one of the biggest headaches of changing booking systems.

I also love how simple and seamless appointment booking is. Unlike Square, which I previously used, GlossGenius feels like it was actually designed with beauty professionals in mind. What do you dislike about GlossGenius?

My biggest frustration has been customer support. I’ve had issues that required conversations stretching over several days just to get resolved. When you’re running a busy salon business, you don’t have time to wait days for answers or go back and forth trying to resolve a problem. More timely and consistent communication would make a tremendous difference.

I’ve also experienced ongoing connectivity issues with the card readers. They frequently lose their Wi-Fi connection or go offline multiple times throughout the day, which can be incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to check out clients efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GlossGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?

GlossGenius gives me a booking platform that is tailored specifically to the beauty industry. It simplifies appointment scheduling, keeps my client information organized, and creates a more professional booking experience for my clients.

Despite the frustrations with customer support and card reader connectivity, I genuinely prefer GlossGenius over Square. The salon-specific features and ease of use make it a better fit for my business.
