I can host all my content on the Community Connect platform, giving my volunteers access to training materials and communications on the same site they use to log their volunteer hours. I love the qualifications component-- it allows me to require waivers or training (which can be linked from the site) before giving access to volunteer opportunities-- all hosted on one platform. You can customize and personalize your site to be really engaging and fun, which is fantastic! What do you dislike about Get Connected by Galaxy Digital? When you set up a volunteer opportunity, you can't change the duration (shifts/shift types) one the opportunity is active. So if I wanted to change the time or type of shift, I have to create a new opportunity. I do like that I can clone the existing one, which makes creating new ones quick. Recommendations to others considering Get Connected by Galaxy Digital: Take advantage of speaking to existing customers and checking out how their sites are designed. Community Connect allows for unlimited access at administrator and volunteer levels, so we have lowered our cost by switching over from our previous software. I love that you can block certain areas of the site by using qualifications - so we can house all our volunteer programs on one account.
