What do you like best about Gemini Code Assist?

Gemini code assistant is itself the best, i have Gemini Pro Subscription, ability to answer to the techinical code queries helps a lot. It not only helps to solve the issue but it also explains the issue and explain in detail what needs to be done. Just select the part of code which needs to be corrected and improved and write prompt in plugin, it deeply thinks and provides the result, best thing is after processing it shows where the changes are done with green highlighted and asks wheather user want to accept the changes or not. Auto code complition helps a lot,i have completed many projects using Gemini assistantand its perfect. Anything which saves your time,efforts and improve your coding knowledge is already perfect. The amount which is paid is worth it, rather rhan using any other Ai in browser, Gemini code assistant provides the solution inside the same IDE which is VS Code in my case. One of the best thing i liked about this is for example your project has 5-6 pages and css is stored in some other folder, once you ask for the change,it automatically updates its related reference pages and css or java files, otherwise one has to ask the same in ai on browser, then update the required lines in all the files manually, this not only saves my time but also helps me to know where the particular function or code is having reference. Perfect name as GEMINI CODE ASSISTANT, it really works as an assistant, give result what ever is asked. for me it saves time, previously the task which i have to do in 4-5 steps, like copy and paste code in browser and ask to give update then again updating single single file according to change,, in this its just give prompt and auto change Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gemini Code Assist?

Sometimes it gives irrelevent answers and it stops working. When ever i ask something it loads and loads and sometimes it crashes and says sent report, this needs to be improved, it should not stop inbetween, one has to close VS Code then again i have to do the same, sometimes even after detailed explanation multiple times,it gives totally wrong answer,, in few days i have face a lot of issue in Code Assistant in VS Code, out of 10 times- it stops 5-6 times or gives error, previously it used to process very smoothly but not maximum number of time it stops if code is big,, very very dissapointing,, making users too much comfortable and then taking the comfort, even after i m an pro user, this is totally a -ve point about an program or plugin, instead of improving,its degrading, even login takes lots of time, while login Gemini code asst. in VS Code, it redirects to browser to verify, even after verification it doesnot sign-in. if we close and come to Vs code, it shows signing in but no respond, one side it says signing in and on the other hand it shows signout button under menu,,very bad performance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gemini Code Assist solving and how is that benefiting you?

There is no doubt it solves my problems, instead of working in multiple files one by oe manually,,Code Asst. helps to autowrite code. Even if user is not having coding knowledge, one can ask Code Asst. to work and it works very fine,, give me more better options to code, like it also helps to increase my knowledge according to new working styles, sometime i use old triditional methods and gemini suggests me to this can be improved, it not only corrects my code but also teaches me about the new methods which come in market. It acts as an teacher for me. Giving suggestions to overcome hacking queries,its wonderfull, other best thing is explaining the code,, just select the part of the code or whole page and ask gemini to explain, it explains very well,, line by line, like an teacher,,, Making an 2-3 page code short upto 1 page without disturbing the flow, its magic, Same thing which i m doing in 100 lines, code helps me to complete in 50-60 lines with same working, it helps to make the code short and code quality. Once your code quality is good, it will run smoothly. Just select code and give prompt, it gives output,, first ask wheather to change or not,,it shows the changes, integration with softwares like VS Code, it makes work very easy, and auto saving after accepting the change, perfect.
