**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** IBRAHIM A. | Full-stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelancer.com?**

I had a very positive experience during the Freelancer verification interview. The process was smooth, professional, and well-organized from start to finish. The interviewer was respectful, clear in communication, and made the entire interaction comfortable and easy to follow.

All questions were relevant and fairly asked, allowing me to properly present my skills and experience. I especially appreciated the friendly attitude and professional approach, which reflects well on the platform’s standards.

Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m satisfied with how the verification process was conducted. Highly appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Freelancer.com?**

One thing that could be improved on Freelancer.com is the dispute resolution process, as it can sometimes feel slow and not fully transparent for freelancers. Additionally, the platform fees and bidding competition can be quite high, especially for new freelancers trying to establish themselves.

Improving communication speed, fairness in disputes, and offering better support for new freelancers would make the overall experience even better.

**What problems is Freelancer.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelancer.com solves the problem of connecting skilled professionals with clients from all over the world in a secure and structured environment. It provides a centralized platform where freelancers can find work, showcase their skills, and build long-term client relationships without needing their own marketing channels.

For me, it has been highly beneficial as it allows me to consistently find projects, grow my income, and work with international clients. The platform also ensures secure payments through milestone protection, which builds trust and reduces risk. Overall, it has helped me scale my freelance career and expand my professional reach globally.

  ### 2. Wide Range of Projects, Easy Bidding, and Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raj K. | Freelance, Translation and Localization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelancer.com?**

It offers a wide range of projects to choose from, allowing you to start earning after your bid is accepted. If you possess a skill, you will undoubtedly find numerous projects to work on. The bidding process is straightforward, and the chat option gives you the opportunity to showcase and discuss your plus-points.
The customer support is very useful, and they respond quickly. Even with the free version, you can use it to bid for a decent number of projects. The paid version helps target selling your best skills. There are contests for you to compete in. You can also use the Android or Apple app for on-the-go bidding and managing your stuff.

**What do you dislike about Freelancer.com?**

Sometimes, despite submitting excellent bids, you may not get the project. You've got to be consistent in finding and bidding for work, which may be stressful and time-consuming for some people.
You may also come across some fraudsters who may not pay for your work or coerce you to go offline for work and payments. Somehow, this platform has not been able to control them fully.

**What problems is Freelancer.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can use this platform both as a worker (bidding for freelance projects) and an employer (offering work to freelancers). It is the world's largest platform to bring like-minded people together and earn a living.

  ### 3. Smooth Verified by Freelancer Process and a Platform That Supports Growth

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelancer.com?**

My experience with the Verified by Freelancer process was smooth, straightforward, and well organized. Russell V. was professional and responsive, and he provided clear guidance throughout the interview, which made everything easy to follow. The process moved along efficiently, and I received my verification badge shortly afterward.

What I appreciate about Freelancer.com overall is the access to a wide range of projects, the flexibility it offers, and the structured system that helps freelancers build credibility and grow over time. The platform creates real opportunities for professionals who take their work seriously and want to develop their presence.

Overall, it was a smooth verification experience, paired with a platform that genuinely supports freelancer growth.

**What do you dislike about Freelancer.com?**

One thing I dislike about Freelancer.com is the mobile app: it can be slow to open, some links don’t load properly, and a few features are still only available on the website rather than in the app.

**What problems is Freelancer.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the biggest benefit is having access to a wide range of projects that align with my expertise. It makes it much faster and more efficient to find the right work, and it lets me focus on the projects where I can truly deliver value.

  ### 4. Efficient Platform for finding skillful candidates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Viggo H. | Ejerleder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelancer.com?**

I use Freelancer.com both to find skillful candidates and to offer our services for small and medium-sized companies, mostly based in Europe and the United States. It's actually going very well for us. Freelancer.com has a process of verifying companies by asking detailed questions, which I think is a very good idea. I was interview by an employee (Anaiah) and she put a lot of effort into asking detailed questions in order to make sure that are are indeed serious company. I give a high five to Freelancer.com for that. I prefer Freelancer.com because you can very quickly get quotes and come in contact with all kinds of businesses around the world and skillful people. You get serious quotes and serious competence, and if you're in a phase where you need competencies quickly, Freelancer.com is the platform to go for. It's super easy and straightforward to use. Uploading a project and getting quoted is a matter of five minutes, and ten minutes later, you will have the first quote. It's also easy to offer quotes for our services. Plus, I use the mobile app a lot, which is convenient.

**What do you dislike about Freelancer.com?**

Well, if you put up a project, you will still receive too many autogenerated offers. So you have to kind of spend some time to sort on serious, candidates, out of the pool. That's one thing. Secondly, there is a big range in prices, and it's always hard to actually figure out even if you check the reviews, if the price you are getting or you're giving yourself is fair. To be honest, some people spam you, basically, and you have to spend time on removing them from your chat, etcetera. There are a few aggressive companies or people out there who almost seem desperate.

**What problems is Freelancer.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Freelancer.com to find skilled candidates and offer our services. It quickly connects me with businesses and talents worldwide. The platform ensures candidates are serious, though filtering through offers can be cumbersome. It provides economical solutions for competencies we lack.

  ### 7. Reliable Platform with Strong Payment Protection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iyad S.

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelancer.com?**

I use Freelancer.com to bid on remote projects, communicate with clients, and get paid securely through the platform. I appreciate the structured process with clear project posts, built-in chat, and payment protection, which makes working with new clients feel safer. These features are valuable because they keep projects clear, organized, and safer to work on. Clear project posts help me quickly understand what's needed and avoid mismatched expectations. Built-in chat keeps all communication in one place so requirements and decisions don't get lost. The structured workflow helps both sides stay aligned on scope and progress. Payment protection adds confidence that there is a reliable process for getting paid once work is delivered. Initial setup is simple and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Freelancer.com?**

I think more exams could be added. I come from an infrastructure and cloud background, and there aren't specific examples for MS Azure, AWS, etc.

**What problems is Freelancer.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Freelancer.com to bid on projects, communicate with clients, and get paid securely. It reduces risk with unknown clients through payment protection and keeps communication organized with built-in chat and structured workflow. ### 8. Simple Interface, Needs Better Project Posting Rules

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neacsu M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelancer.com?**

I find Freelancer.com to be simple, and it doesn't have a complicated interface, so I can quickly find what I need. It's easy to work on the site.

**What do you dislike about Freelancer.com?**

There are serious issues with people winning a project and then reposting that project to others for cheaper completion. I'm not okay with this practice. If you bid and win a project, you should complete it yourself, not have someone else do it. Another problem is allowing people to post projects without depositing the money for the project. There are many projects that never close, these 'phantom projects'.

**What problems is Freelancer.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Freelancer.com to find projects and earn extra income. It's simple to work on, with an easy interface that helps me quickly find what I need.

  ### 9. Authentic Client Base, Stellar Verification

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priyabrata S. | Freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Freelancer.com?**

I love the verification programs on Freelancer.com which ensure the quality of freelancers on the platform. The client base is great, providing me with opportunities to offer software solutions to both overseas and domestic clients. The platform plays a crucial role as my primary workplace. The initial setup of Freelancer.com was perfect and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Freelancer.com?**

The tests take a pivotal role to showcase skills, which specify basics, and they need to stay updated per skill to be more meaningful. Skills can be further upgraded with the latest changes on the tech itself, and the requirements need to be precise with relevant skills, not spanning across too many associated skills.

**What problems is Freelancer.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freelancer.com is my primary workplace for providing software solutions. I appreciate its great client base and verification programs that ensure quality, which have a positive impact on my work.

  ### 10. Global Opportunities with Secure Payments on Freelancer.com

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JATIN S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Freelancer.com?**

I truly appreciate Freelancer.com for its remarkable global reach, as it offers a huge variety of projects that match my skills and interests every day. This constant stream of opportunities allows me to grow professionally. The platform's freedom to select work, engage in creative contests, and directly connect with international clients is incredibly empowering. I find the secure milestone payment system exceptionally valuable, as it guarantees that I receive payment for completed work, alleviating the fear of nonpayment. This reliability makes the platform feel secure and trustworthy. Moreover, the verification process enhances trust with clients, ensuring they perceive my profile as genuine, which significantly boosts my chances of getting hired. Starting up on Freelancer.com was simple and beginner-friendly, which I found impressive, as it enabled me to get started quickly. Lastly, I'm highly impressed with the professionalism and supportive nature of the interview process, thanks to individuals like Kielle, who ensured that my experience was smooth, reducing my nervousness and making it thoroughly positive.

**What do you dislike about Freelancer.com?**

While Freelancer.com is a great platform, there are areas that could be improved to enhance user experience. The verification or restriction process can be confusing, particularly for newcomers who may not fully understand why certain actions occur. This complexity can deter new users from fully engaging with the platform. Additionally, the competition for projects is very high, which can make it challenging for beginners to secure their first job. This can be discouraging and may limit opportunities for those just starting out. The fee structure feels heavy, especially when working on projects with a small budget. This can reduce the financial viability of accepting such projects. Enhancing guidance for new users and making the bidding process more beginner-friendly could significantly improve the platform and make it even more attractive and accessible to new freelancers.

**What problems is Freelancer.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Freelancer.com to find job opportunities, connect with global clients, build a portfolio, and improve skills. It offers secure payments, a variety of projects, and trust-building verification, helping me grow professionally and reliably get paid.
