Freelan is a free, open-sourced VPN software that comes with no GUI but great features and compatibility. Unlike the common VPN software out there which lets you.Freelan is a free, open-source, multi-platform, peer-to-peer VPN software that abstracts a LAN over the Internet. It works on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.Whether you want to connect the computers of your family, play an old LAN-only game with your friends, or give a privileged access to your private network to your collaborators, freelan will do the job perfectly.Freelan is open-source and completely free. What do you dislike about freelan?

Recommendations to others considering freelan:

The main features are the VPN network, but from a privacy standpoint, it offers some great additional tools. They include a firewall to prevent exposure of your IP address in case you lose your connection, an ad and tracker blocker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is freelan solving and how is that benefiting you?

I haven't faced any problems so far.Freelan allows you to create any kind of network topology you like: from the classical client-server schema to the completely crazy hybrid peer-to-peer decentralized graph. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
