What I like best about FortiOS is the visibility and control it provides over network traffic. In our FortiGate 70G deployment, features such as IPS, web filtering, application control, and VPN management are all available through a single interface. Policy management is straightforward, and the real-time logs are useful for troubleshooting and monitoring security events. The platform has been stable and performs well for our day-to-day security operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about FortiOS is that some advanced configurations require CLI access and can have a learning curve for administrators who are new to the platform. During firmware upgrades, we also spend extra time reviewing release notes and compatibility considerations before deployment. In addition, certain troubleshooting scenarios can involve navigating multiple menus and logs before identifying the root cause. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
