What do you like best about Fortinet FortiRecorder-VM Network Video Security?

I’ve used FortiRecorder-VM in a previous project, and what I liked most was its stability and simplicity. The interface is clean, easy to understand, and setting up IP cameras was surprisingly quick. What really impressed me was how well it integrates with FortiGate — it allowed me to link network security events directly with video feeds, giving us complete visibility. The system ran smoothly even with multiple HD streams and didn’t slow down or drop connections. Since it’s virtualized, scaling up storage or camera counts was also very easy. What do you dislike about Fortinet FortiRecorder-VM Network Video Security?

There’s honestly very little to complain about. The only minor thing I noticed was that the initial configuration for third-party cameras takes a bit of time, but once everything is set, it’s rock solid. What problems is Fortinet FortiRecorder-VM Network Video Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helped us unify video monitoring and network security in one platform. Before FortiRecorder-VM, we had to switch between different tools to correlate incidents. With this system, when there was any suspicious network activity, we could instantly pull up relevant footage. This made our incident response faster and reduced manual effort.
