What do you like best about FortiGate-VM NGFW?

What I like most about FortiGate-VM is that it provides the same familiar FortiGate security features in a virtual environment. The interface is straightforward, and having features like firewall policies, VPN, IPS, application control and centralized management makes it easy to integrate into different cloud or virtualized environments. What do you dislike about FortiGate-VM NGFW?

One thing I dislike is that sizing and licensing can be a little confusing at first, especially when you're trying to match the VM resources and expected traffic load. Performance can also depend quite a bit on the underlying virtualization or cloud infrastructure, so proper sizing is important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FortiGate-VM NGFW solving and how is that benefiting you?

FortiGate-VM helps us solve the challenge of securing virtual and cloud environments without having to deploy a physical firewall. I can use the same FortiOS features I'm already familiar with for firewalling, VPN, IPS, application control and traffic inspection. The biggest benefit is having consistent security policies and visibility across virtual, on-premises and cloud environments, which makes deployment and day-to-day management much easier.
