"Versatile Virtual Solution with Resource Flexibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about FortiGate-VM NGFW?

I like that FortiGate-VM NGFW doesn't differentiate much from the actual appliance and offers the flexibility to add resources and modules as needed. It's convenient since I can't easily buy a physical FortiGate appliance in my country, and using it virtually cuts down costs significantly. I also enjoy the ease of setup, as it was very straightforward, except for one setup page issue that I managed to resolve through a forum. Additionally, the ability to connect to a virtual distributed switch with multiple virtual NICs is a great benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FortiGate-VM NGFW?

The performance of FortiGate-VM NGFW is not as good as that of the actual appliance, mainly because the appliance has application-specific integrated circuits. Although I can use a powerful hypervisor, it still doesn't compare to a device specifically built for certain functionalities. Additionally, during the initial setup, there was an issue with the first setup page not loading, which I had to solve by changing a value in the URL after finding the solution in a forum.
