What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

I volunteer as a CASA and while helping them build a new website I discovered that a lot of things could be made easier by using Podio. But, with that, came some pitfalls like creating documents automatically. I found WebMerge in the extensions list and didn't really even bother trying it before I knew... I knew it was going to do exactly what I needed! I contacted them and asked for some help and it was provided even after hours via email. Very impressed so far! What do you dislike about Formstack Documents?

I do actually wish you could hand-type fields in a document to be merged instead of needing to do a full on merge first, but it's not the end of the world. Something similar to BBcode / shortcodes would be great to manually add into a quick document to be merged. Certainly not a deal breaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Formstack Documents:

Don't be afraid to play. If you are working with a Word doc, create your document, do a new mail merge and add your fields. Then just don't add anything to the merge info. It's difficult to grasp if you do mail merges a lot because you actually don't complete the process. You just create the fields, insert them, then save the document. You will end up with a blank merge file as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Formstack Documents solving and how is that benefiting you?

CASA must submit case reports to District Attorneys, Judges, family attorneys.... A CASA volunteer can now submit a report on the website and the information will be found in multiple Podio apps and emailed to the CASA office from WebMerge as a Word document for any small minor adjustments. What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

Love how easy it is to setup and use. We integrate it with Kintone, which allows us to create documents that are sent directly to our customers to sign through AdobeSign. The whole process works seamlessly and we have never had any issues at all. Very happy overall with how it works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Formstack Documents?

Nothing comes to mind, at least not for us. We have never had any issues setting documents up and everything has worked well for us right from day 1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Formstack Documents solving and how is that benefiting you?

Needed an effective way to create and send documents out to customers for signatures, including Purchase Orders, Lease Documents, Delivery Confirmations and more. And by integrating with our databases and pushes data to Formstack, we can do that quickly. Once setup, it has never had a problem or not delivered our docs. unrelated to this product specificaly, but sister product of FormStack Sign currently only works and support US letter document only. that means any customers outside US like us, will not be able to bundle the experience of automation from formstack document to formstack sign. Sometimes, support can be lacking in areas where there are product gaps, but they have the right points of escalation and run a relatively flat organization, which allows you to directly communicate with key stakeholders to make changes and help the community of users stronger. What do you like best about Formstack Documents?

I like that you can customize documents and that it is connected to formstack forms. We use this for internal and external purposes. I like that it is easy to integrate into other systems such as sharepoint, onedrive, email, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fromstack is an invaluable part of our workflow for document generation. Its interface is user-friendly. Unlike other platforms we’ve encountered, it is quite simple and accessible, making it an ideal solution that doesn’t require extensive training for multiple users being added as team members.

One of the tool’s biggest strengths is its seamless integration with our existing tech stack. We manage a variety of software platforms and this syncs easily, pulling in data directly from our stack.
