It helps me manage my time and my team's time efficiently by defining tasks and planning weeks ahead. I find the Harvest integration particularly useful, as it allows me to do the tasks I need without distractions or hidden menus. The initial setup was easy too since I just needed to add the users, assign them to groups, and we were ready to go. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** It doesn't seem it gets updated over the time. It could contain an overview page for example to see all the team's availability in a single page. **What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Forecast to manage my and my team's time, planning weeks ahead by assigning tasks and solving team capacity and availability issues. ### 2. It provides clear top-level information about when a person is covered until, and interfaces with Harvest for project tracking and finances. It highlights visibility of leave, expected project burn, and helps track who is working on which project and when. I find it useful that it allows us to foresee expected burn and invoicing month on month, and it makes it easy to see when projects are expected to finish so that people can be lined up for other projects. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** Forecast only links to one Harvest instance, which doesn't work for organizations that have grown to include multiple business units each with their own Harvest instance. It would be great if it could handle multiple 'organizations' under one tool. Additionally, I wish it could automatically load public holidays, track leave from Harvest or another system, and show this in the Forecast calendar. Also, tracking future engagements or opportunities and future starter people could be improved, as well as resourcing based on a +30-day view instead of manually filling in days between dates. **What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?** Forecast helps us track employee resourcing and project burn rates, offering visibility into leave and project timelines, ensuring efficient project alignment and invoicing. ### 3. The software has some influencing and advanced tools for managing data and also the reporting facilities of this are out standing. Deep data visualization and analysis is done to gather and recognize the data. Forecast offers powerful tools in it which are overwhelming and do help to do work and tasks easily. Capabilities offered by the platform are amazing, helps in increasing the production rate and probability daily. There are variety of tools available in to this platform that are best for data analysis work and manages to people to combine the data and create spreadsheets. For gathering and visualizing the data Forecast is best application. On first glance, this tool appears to work... **Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2023 **What do you like best about Forecast?** The layout is good and the visual view of capacity would be great if it worked. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** Forecast has some major failings, that only become apparent when you've been using the product for a while. Capacity management is the name of the game but unfortunately, we found that tasks do not automatically update when there is a change in an individual's capacity. i.e. if someone changes from 4 days a week to 5 days a week, Forecast doesn't view this as adding any additional capacity. To make it work you have to manually adjust every task assigned to that person. There's also a strange bug whereby if you change the number of DAYS a person works (note, not the total number of hours a person works), this also messes up the capacity calculation. There's other strange failings - it doesn't sync well with Harvest, even though they're linked apps. You can't view capacity by month, only by week. Unfortunately these failings mean we'll be stopping using the product as soon as we can get an alternative solution in place. **What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were trying to use it to solve capacity problems. ### 7. This platform's time management features are excellent for processing and completing work on time. This is a comprehensive working tool that may be used for financial report planning, project management, organisational tasks, and many other things. It provides regular updates and prompts on the remaining time until the project deadline. Fantastic extensions and features for extracting data from the UI. You have complete control over this programme to see, evaluate, and monitor the status of your workers' projects. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** The inability to report completed tasks on a monthly basis would make detail tracking more efficient and less time-consuming. **What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?** The finest aspects that help us stay current and effectively find solutions to finish the task on time are the tracking and analysing capabilities. In practice, it is vapourware and doesn't actually do what it promises to. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** The product is an early stage beta that has many fundamental flaws, but it is marketed and sold as a polished product. The Forecast team gets quite aggressive once you have realised the functionality just doesn't work. **Recommendations to others considering Forecast:** Avoid. It sounds too good to be true, and it is. If you find yourself finding gaps during the trial and are promised "it's in the pipeline," ask for a month-to-month contract to protect you from non-delivery. They will tell you they only do annual contracts because it affects the valuation for their investors. **What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was supposed to help us quote, plan, deliver and invoice for consulting work. In practice, it doesn't work at all.
