It is easy to use and very effective for our needs. I appreciate the ability to both email and text from the same interface, and to change the message from one to the other as needed automatically. **What do you dislike about Flocknote?** Some things have a bit of a learning curve, and I had some issues correcting a data import that seemed to be "stuck" in their system, but the data imports may have been improved since then **Recommendations to others considering Flocknote:** Give it a try, it is free for up to 40 people. Try it in a smaller group or program first. **What problems is Flocknote solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is difficult to communicate with lots of people involved in our programs quickly. There are limits within free email platforms on how many people you can email at once, and we deal with hundreds of parish members on a regular basis. One benefit is to quickly alert everyone if there is a last-minute change or snow cancellation. ### 2. This aspect is especially true when sending a prayer request with a serious tone. **Recommendations to others considering Flocknote:** Be sure to look at the different pricing levels, depending on the size of your congregation. **What problems is Flocknote solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have found a way to communicate with around 90% of our congregation effectively. This capability is beneficial for last-minute changes such as service cancellations due to weather, etc. ### 3. It most definitely was easier said then done and I realized I didn't have to send out individual responses. ### 4. It works great for Religion Programs, Bible Studies, Men's/Women's groups and any group you can think of! We have had more and more groups that want to get involved to communicate information! Even our retirees love getting updates through Flocknote, it's so easy! **What do you dislike about Flocknote?** Sometimes you have people that don't get an email, but it's usually just a setting on their end that needs adjustment. Anytime I think it would be nice to add something to Flocknote, they're usually a step ahead in development! They are very active in development and moving forward to new enhancements! **Recommendations to others considering Flocknote:** Give it a try, you won't regret it! **What problems is Flocknote solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communication is SO important and this has benefited us so much to reach out to busy parents and parishioners. I am the Youth Minister at our parish and this allows us to reach the whole group with one quick text or email. We can also get a specific message to one grade level. There are times that weather can change or cancel an event and this is an efficient way to get the word out quickly! Gone are the days of a calling tree and worrying if everyone got the message! ### 6. Email and text message composers are intuitive, creating attractive and functional communications, and leaders are given features that allow them to connect more effectively with their people. **What do you dislike about Flocknote?** Overall, there's really nothing to dislike. Flocknote meets all of our needs and the customer service is outstanding. I believe there have been two text messages that did not go out as soon as expected, but Flocknote was quick to respond and assured as that they were working on an immediate solution. **Recommendations to others considering Flocknote:** Go for it! It will be the best decision you make toward better reaching your audience. **What problems is Flocknote solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reaching our audience more effectively. Flocknote gives us the insights and control we need in order to better serve. Flocknote empowers leaders of particular groups to take charge of reaching their respective audiences; it encourages intentional, effective communication and makes it fun! ### 7. I love being able to choose to send a mass text to those who would prefer to get the message that way. I love being able to easily add people from one group to another, create new groups, or change the name of groups to be for a new year. I like the format of messages that is simple and user friendly. I don't have the best eye for design but you guys make it easier. I also like the ability to see who has opened my messages. Also, the Flocknote team is so helpful and quick to respond to questions or concerns (See what I dislike below). **What do you dislike about Flocknote?** I originally said I wished we could customize more fields within contact info so we could add things like t-shirt size, etc. to make it like more of a database. However, the team got back to me and helped me to turn extra fields on so it is no longer an issue for those fields. It would still be nice to add a few more fields of my choosing. But hey, you can't have everything can you? **Recommendations to others considering Flocknote:** I highly recommend giving it a try. My wife is a youth minister with about 150 middle schoolers alone and she recommended Flocknote to me for many reasons. I was skeptical but it was well worth the switch. **What problems is Flocknote solving and how is that benefiting you?** My department of the church I work at is Family Catechetical Ministries. We use Flocknote to contact parents, youth, teachers, young adults, and others in ways that regular email systems have trouble with. I can find notes I have sent in past years, past events etc and update them. (This saves me literally hours of precious time). It keeps all my communications with parents in one place so it is easy to keep track of. Also, another favorite feature I have is the ability to schedule a note. Notes updating parents go out even while I am in the middle of teaching! Amazing! **What do you dislike about Flocknote?** The supersearch is cool, but if I am trying to find a note for an individual person it also pulls up every single group message that person is apart of as well. It doesn't make it any easier to hunt down a particular note. In addition It would be nice to upload a video that doesn't have an Http:// aka one that is just on my computer, but is not on the internet. We make a lot of our own video content and it is just an extra step to upload it to youtube before we can send it out. That said, Flocknote is constantly improving their platform. these comments will probably being updated even as I type. **What problems is Flocknote solving and how is that benefiting you?** Flocknote helps me to solve the problem of information overload! I am able to send different messages to parents of each grade in my program quickly and easily. Flocknote also helps me get ahead of the game. Once my semester is planned I am able to schedule out class reminders and updates months in advanced. It helps my ministry to expand because the communication foundation is already set. Flocknote also helps me to never miss an event/deadline...well anything. For every response I get I can set it so that I receive an email. We use the keyword that is included in our original pricing and have added three more key words as well. Keywords are easy to create, change, and make available to our congregation. We just began using this system, but are impressed with how easy it is to use FlockNote. I am personally also VERY impressed with the FlockNote Happiness Engineers who helped me get off to a great start with FlockNote. It is very evident that the Happiness Engineers care about those who use their product and are willing to go the extra mile to assist with any issues. **What do you dislike about Flocknote?** Originally, I found FlockNote to be a bit confusing. Actually it was only a matter of training and jumping in to get to know the product. I now realize how very easy this product is to use. The Welcome dashboard and help provided by the Happiness Engineers made a big difference in getting started off right. At this time we will probably not be sending notes so I am hoping that there is a way for our church to benefit from Unolytics as analytics of our products and user participation are important in our analysis of where we are as a church and what is working and what is not. **What problems is Flocknote solving and how is that benefiting you?** The text-to-join keyword helps people let us know right away if they want to participate in a specific way at our church, i.e. get our newsletter, be baptized or if they have made a decision to follow Jesus or are a guest at our church. Each test-to-join keyword once texted to our number gives the user an opportunity give us additional information and provides the user with a link where they can find more information about their specific text-to-join topic. We can also then communicate with individuals in each of these four groups. The ease of use from any location is amazing.
