## Float Reviews
  ### 1. Efficient Scheduling Tool with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** holly c.

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float?**

I really appreciate how easy Float is to set up and use, making the transition from an Excel spreadsheet quite seamless. The ability to use different colors for different projects helps me and my team quickly understand our schedules at a glance, making workflow management visually intuitive and effective. I also find the weekly counter to be a helpful feature, even though I do wish there was a daily counter as well. Additionally, Float's scheduling capabilities allow me to plan well in advance, ensuring my team and I know what we are doing over the coming weeks and months. This is particularly useful for long-term planning, such as knowing my schedule for the month of January. It greatly benefits my team by allowing each member to view their own schedule rather than just a shared one, promoting individualized accountability and productivity. The ease of use and access make Float an ideal tool for managing an entire team efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I don't like that Float lacks a daily counter for tracking submitted hours. Currently, it only provides a weekly counter, but for my work, I need a daily tally to effectively manage and evaluate my daily workload. This is important because I enter time in thirty-minute to one-hour segments and need to ensure I meet my daily goal of eight hours.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float for scheduling my entire team, allowing each member to view their schedule. It simplifies planning days and weeks ahead, offering ease of access and project visibility with color coding, replacing our old Excel method.

  ### 2. Automated Cash Flow Forecasting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie R. | Head of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

The fact that float integrates with Xero, our accounts software, means we get a pretty much automatic cash flow generated. All of our data from xero such as invoices and bills are all added straight to float including any updates to planned to pay dates etc...
We utilize future invoicing in xero for the duration of our contracts which means those invoices, although not sent yet, get included in our cash flow for future months.
The use of scenario layers is a life saver. We add in our budgets ready for the year on the base layer and then we can add scenario layers on top of that for showing where we are with actuals vs budget or we can add an extra scenario layer to show what would happen if we gained a new large client or we wanted to bring in additonal employees. We used to have do this modelling on excel!
It is easy to keep up to date and syncs to your software as often as you need, we do daily.
I wouldn't be without Float now! It has helped us keep control of our cash and have good visibility of future cash positions.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I would like to be able to add more scenario layers as you currently can only have 3

I would also like to be able to run additonal reports and customise current ones a little more but apart from that it is great.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to get a better view of our cash position in the future and we are also able to look at what effect certain scenarios could have on our cash.
The biggest benefit we have gotten from float is time-saving, but behind that, it is the additional value of better forecasting.

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback. We do have different subscription levels which will provide you with more scenario layers. I have attached a link for more information. If you would like to discuss this further please reach out to support@floatapp.com.

Look forward to speaking to you,

Ashleigh

  ### 3. Ideal for small businesses wanting to gain some financial control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacey B. | Financial Controller, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float automatically pulls in all of the data from your accountancy software, giving you an excellent base cash flow to start. It then provides the ability to create different scenarios to quickly see how additional income (such as a new client signing on) or expenditure (taking on a new employee) changes will alter the flow of cash through the business. Being able to "see" what the future may look like from a financial point of view is essential in smaller agencies, where those changes can have a much more significant overall impact.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

In Float you always create scenarios using the Base scenario as a starting point. It would be beneficial to have the additional ability to build scenarios on top of each other, providing greater freedom to plan for multiple things happening concurrently - such as signing new clients but losing other business.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The past 18 months have been a challenge for many agencies, and Float has provided a way to maintain control. Float allows you to plan for several different outcomes, clearly demonstrating where cash flow issues may occur, as well as the runway for the business if income and expenses remain at their current levels. It provides a feeling of confidence when making decisions and flags problems before they occur.

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback. I will pass this on to the product team.

Thanks,

Ashleigh

  ### 4. Crucial tool for financial management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony M. | Founder and Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Simple UI that whilst comprehensive feature-wise, is still really accessible and easy to get access to the information you need. This goes for both those using the tool on a daily basis as well as those just dropping in infrequently.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Very little, I've been a user since their Freeagent product and then beta during the launch of the Xero version, the team are extremely open to feedback and regularly iterating the features.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Just do it, its been a no brainer for us for almost 10 years

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The scenario tool is fantastic for us to plan and predict future forecasts and compare. It makes it really easy to visualise the opportunity rather than just looking at the numbers in aa spreadsheet.

  ### 5. Allows us to quickly and easily prepare short-term cash flows as well as plan for longer term

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ewan O. | Director /Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Saves a huge amount of time compared to using spreadsheets. Although there is a built in forecasting tool within Xero, it is quite limited and does not have anything like the functionality of Float. While we only use the scenario planning tool as and when required, it is very quick and easy to use compared to any other method and allows multiple variables to be tested with ease. Customer support and advice has always been excellent and I have found their team to be very active in seeking feedback on their product and then taking this onboard for future improvements to the app.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Float does require you to always keep your accounting software reconcilied and up to date to allow it to forecast properly. This is obviously not a fault of Float and indeed should encourage good behaviour but with Xero dragging its heals on direct bank feeds to a lot of banks, this is perhaps not as slick as it could be. Float is quite expensive compared to the accounting software itself, but I can easily justify this with the time saved compared to spreadsheet entries.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Make it part of your routine alongside updating Xero.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping an eye on the short-term bank cash flows which is tricky in our industry where income is lumpy and the timings sometimes unpredictable. We also use Float to create multiple cash flow scenarios, which has been particularly useful during the recent uncertain times. As a young and growing business we use the scenario planning tool within Xero when we are considering investment in machinery, employment of more cabinet makers and in assessing likely income forecasts. We have to manage a lot of cash flow uncertainty with the timings of projects changing regularly because our work and installations generally happen at the end of larger construction and renovation projects and we are therefore at the mercy of other contractors whose work has to be completed before we get there. If we had to update spreadsheets everytime there was a change we would probably not look at it very often, but because of the automation and ease of changing forecasts we find that we are far more likely to prepare and amend the forecasts than we otherwise would have.

**Official Response from Louise Bayley-Boyd:**

> Hi Ewan, thanks for taking the time to leave us this review! All the best, Louise from Float

  ### 6. An invaluable tool to stay in control of your cash.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cathedral City E. | Director / Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float easily syncs all data with xero and allows you to stay on top of your cash flow planning. No laborious updating or cross-platform populating of figures. It works smoothly and reliably. After some time you can't imagine not having it anymore.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Even as a non accountant or bookkeeper there's only a small learning curve to be mastered. Once you're set up it's all plain sailing from there.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Excellent tool - would definitely recommend.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing how cash flow is going to look in the short and medium future is crucial for our business planning.

  ### 7. My favourite finacial tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aran J. | Co-founder / Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Being able to create cash flow scenarios allows us to test the financials before pressing the button. Everytime we think of investing in an area of the business, Float helps us predict our future cash flow based on our ideas. Love it

**What do you dislike about Float?**

There's not much to dislike. Refreshing our accounting data can take a minute, but it's to be expected.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Great customer service. Great tools. Great price. I fully recommend Float

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cash flow scenarios.
Cashflow.
Overdue debtors at a glance.
Top down view, better insights than my accounting software

  ### 8. I would be lost (and probably fail) without it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rich P. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Without setting budgets and monitoring our profits regularly, I'm not sure it would be as easy to maintain profitability for us. Not just month-to-month, Float gives us the foresight to make sure our business is sustainable in the near and far future. It really does provide a comprehensive financial health check.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Can't find the best uses for the scenarios

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems of not being paid on time but being able to easily change the expected due date in Float to see how it will affect us.

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback. It would be great to jump on a quick Zoom with you to discuss scenarios further, if this is something you would be interested in please reach out to support@floatapp.com.

Look forward to hearing from you, Ashleigh

  ### 9. Great tool once you've got your head around it!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clare B. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Being able to plan different scenarios based on future decisions

**What do you dislike about Float?**

It took me quite a while to work out 'budgets' - and how to apply them for potential sales/invoices, versus ones that had happened via my Xero account

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to see very far ahead at what point my cashflow starts to suffer. It lets me plan for different eventualities like adding potential costs on for more staff and how this will affect my cashflow

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback. I will pass this on to the product team.

Thanks,

Ashleigh

  ### 10. Helps me as a business owner sleep at night

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Graeme L. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Simple to use, and integrates seamlessly with our accountancy platform.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

It was the overload of categories, however, this has recently been resolved with "grouping".

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business, cash flow is king. So to see 3, 6 and even further into the future has allowed me with confidence to grow the business and make informed decisions. This has led to the natural growth of the business by being able to forecast projects, and ultimately, recruit new staff.

  ### 11. Great tool to manage cash flow and budgets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float has a good UI, very clear and uncluttered. The tool is responsive and can easily sync with our accounting software. So any updates we do in Xero is reflected into Float pretty quickly. I like the fact you can also set alternate scenarios so that you can map different cash flow forecasts. An absolute lifeline for any business that needs to keep an eye on its cash!

**What do you dislike about Float?**

No invoice chasing tools yet, but this is being developed at the moment.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float has helped with mapping out our cash position, it has been helpful with plotting out any dangerous moments that may come in a clear way since it is visualised in a graph.

  ### 12. Great cashflow forecasting software, perfect for a small business.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer A. | Business Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

I love the simplicity of the system, how it marries up perfectly with Xero, our accounting software.
It updates instantly, it flags invoiced and bills overdue so great as a quick overview of who needs to be paid etc, and who i need to chase.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

That the information isn't as easy to download, and share with others.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Forecasting and planning spending activity for the business. Planning potential resource costs, versus client invoicing.

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback.

You can download your cash flow forecast on the main Cash flow tab, either to CSV or PDF. There are also a few reports within the Insights tab that you can export. It would be great to hear which reports and information you would like to download, please do reach out to support@floatapp.com and we can discuss further.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Ashleigh

  ### 13. Great integration with Xero

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve S. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Tight integration with Xero which produces reliable and up to date forecasts

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Inability to upload budgets to scenarios. This makes scenarios unusable

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Float is great for simple cash flow forecasting out to 3 months. For any modelling or P&L and Balance Sheet forecasting yuou need to look elsewhere

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keep on top of short term cash flow

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hi, thanks for your review and feedback. You can create new budgets within your scenario layers however I understand you may be talking about using the spreadsheet input into a scenario layer, which you can currently not do. I will pass your feedback on to the product team.

Any questions please do reach out to support@floatapp.com.

Thanks,

Ashleigh

  ### 14. What Xero is missing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James W. | Founder and CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

A simple to setup, simple to use forecasting tool. The scenario planning is excellent, allowing me to play with multiple future options while staying rooted in the factual.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

The most annoying part is the pop up asking you to refresh the page; although it is quite turn-of-the-century quaint

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Predicting future cash on hand

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback I will pass this onto the Product team.

Thanks,
Ashleigh

  ### 15. Great for forecasting cashflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

It took time to get used to and understand what goes where but once I got the hang of Float, it's proved brilliant at showing us our cashflow. The best thing is the 'death date' (our term) which tells us when the money will run out!

**What do you dislike about Float?**

It took a bit of getting used to. I could have done with more training videos at the beginning

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can budget various different scenariois which is great. We can can test different scenarios such as new employees, larger offices, etc.

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thank you for your review and feedback. I have attached a link to our Help Center for training videos and saved webinars. If you have any questions please reach out to us at support@floatapp.com.

  ### 16. Easy to use forecasting software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

Easy to use, it allows the user to adjust the budget figures according to your business needs or forecast.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

There is only one issue, and that is the software does not allow you to budget with multiple bank accounts, for example, if your using a third-party bank for your sales ledger and your current account for your outgoings.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

cashflow problems knowing when money is expected to come in versus going out seeing that clarity allows for better business decisions

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback. It would be great to jump on a quick Zoom call to discuss the issue you are facing when budgeting with multiple bank accounts. Please do reach out to support@floatapp.com and we can arrange a time.

Thanks,

  ### 17. Xentum Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

No spreadsheets and formuals, it is freeing.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Budgeting could be more straightforward.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Small cost upfront, but the time saved is unbelievable.

You also have a long-standing record of your development and progression. Planning this way makes reflection ever so easy.

The Xero integration is compelling.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to be more systematic in our business and move away from non-interactive ways of budgeting.

The ability to share with people in other locations is very powerful and liberating.

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback. It would be great to discuss budgets in a bit more detail. If this is something you would like to do, please reach out to support@floatapp.com.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Ashleigh

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Float?**

The scenario planning tool allows accurate forecasting and projections.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Huge insight into cashflow, financial health and future projections

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review and feedback. It would be great to jump on a Zoom call to discuss how your sales are being pulled through from Xero. Please reach out to support@floatapp.com and we can arrange a call.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Easy to use but bear in mind you dont have an infinite backdate of information

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to add individual budgets and see how they compare to actuals is much easier in Float than Xero.

**Official Response from Ashleigh Rayne:**

> Hey, thanks for your review! I wanted to share a helpful article with you regarding moving budgets from scenario layers to the base, which you may find useful. If you have any further questions, please reach out via the Support icon in the bottom right-hand corner.

  ### 23. Takes the guesswork out of managing cash even while you sleep

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendall C. | Virtual CFO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float has reduced the time it takes to prepare cashflow schedules down significantly and eliminates the manual errors that can be made by using solutions like spreadsheets. Additionally the ability to create scenarios on top of our baseline budgets is invaluable when it comes to making business decisions.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

The only one so far is the limitation is not being able to see a consolidated cashflow when you operate more than one associated business entity.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Make a a regular task to check in on Float and tweak things as you go such as expected payment dates for items that may have run over their due date.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of manual cashflow forecasts always being out of date. As long as the accounting system is up to date, so is Float. And the risk of formula errors in manual spreadsheets.

  ### 24. A must for any service based business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David F. | Founder | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float was really easy to set up. Within a couple of hours I had an accurate three year projection. The charts are easy to read making potential problems obvious. I love its ability to 'change circumstances' and show how it affects the cash flow. the integration with my accounts means I don't have to do anything to maintain projections.
I previously used a different financial product, costing thousands per year, which ultimately I found useless because it wasn't 'live', having to upload spreadsheets exported from Xero from the month before, always being 'too late' to do anything about issues that arose.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I haven't found much use yet for the insights, but its too early to tell.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Be as accurate as possible with initial data input. Plug in the recurring transactions on the exact dates they are expected to be paid based on past history.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Almost immediately, I was able to foresee a 'dip' in my cashflow and activate a strategy to resolve it, a month before it could occur. I was even able to see the change in circumstance that my strategy was resolving whilst still working through it. Consequently, there was no problem!
I have budgeted in my personal drawings which has allowed me to project when we are able to book a family holiday overseas.

  ### 25. The most complete system in planning that I have used.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary R. K. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

I like Float because it allows me to know and keep up to date with the flow of cash, something that is vital for the movements of our company, and thus be able to manage resources with better efficiency. It also allows me to allocate the necessary resources to each area, depending on the movement of the day in order to optimize more costs and expenses in the operations of the company, in order to increase our company growth while being efficient with expenses.
The integration process of Float was excellent, since it was neither long nor tedious, as it happens with other systems of planning, without lying you will only take a few minutes to configure everything and get to use a high level software very quickly, the staff adapted quickly and does not require much effort.
I also like this system because it is easy to enter all the necessary information and thus be well updated, this system has an incredible capacity once the data is entered, to view in record time all areas, for example, be up to date with salaries, benefits, costs and operational expenses, in order to provide everything a visual for optimal planning and management of the cash flow of the company, this for me is vital and of utmost importance.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

At the moment I have nothing bad to say about Float so far. Although I can limit my recommendation to the technical support team, to be able to make certain adjustments regarding the audits, I feel that several elements are missing. Even so the technical service is with me in placing the elements that are needed. More of this I think everything is fine

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Undoubtedly recommended you to try this system even in its trial version is free and so you can try all the benefits that this program gives you. I could do it that way and when I expire your test time, do not hesitate to buy it, because once you start using it in your company or organization you will see the difference. It also allows me to be able to visualize how the management of my projects is gone and the things that they need to be able to finish them.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I do not like it because this system requires basic administrative knowledge because it is not for everyone, I have also noticed that there are projects that take a bit of time to adapt to this program, however, thanks to the technical support team and my work colleagues. I have managed to improve this system a bit, although I think that this system is very good.

  ### 27. Float Cashflow App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

I love that it pulls in the data from Xero, our accounting software. I like the way it's easy to include and not include different transactions to see how it affects the overall cashflow.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I wish there were more ways to import large amounts of data on a day to day scale. You can import easily on a monthly level but not as easy when it comes to bills and invoices per day.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Schedule a call with their support in the beginning. It helped us out a ton.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits: we are able to see how different scenarios affect our overall cash flow. We're able to see what hiring new people does to our costs overall and what happens if we lose a customer.

  ### 28. Great Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

We are enjoying the complete transparency and the view of the future that we now have, that is not based on an input to an excel spreadsheet but is now live and up to date with our accounting and ERP.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Sometimes the remaining balances on an unused budget can cause false forecasts. I would like to have a feature to be able to click a button to remove the unused item through the month.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

I still have unanswered questions from my float chats, and the ones that i received answers to were days between questions and answers.
If it was me personally, This would have been the difference of me buying and not.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a greater visibility of our costs and how much cash we need to generate each month to stay a FLOAT

  ### 29. Good funds management software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul C. | Mr, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

It is anything but difficult to explore through various administrations they give. Pleasant dashboard, functional to work with a timetable. It consequently refreshes all my client information from my bookkeeping stage.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I would like to have the mobile application to have the capacity to adjust plans out and about and not need to do so on the website.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

I really would recommend float to anyone seeking a cloud based planning and scheduling software.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capacity to determine income issues and the capacity to remain composed and have the capacity to get to that data whenever up to the moment income the board. Not overlooking my capacity to share visual portrayal of income over a group.

  ### 30. Time management that works for project managers and visual designers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary H. | Senior Software Engineer, Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

I cherish this is a reasonable, electronic, simple to design and utilize apparatus that is amazingly adaptable. There's a ton of intensity in requesting as much data as is required so as to be valuable. It's an extraordinary visual approach to oversee undertakings and individuals and to get a feeling of how individuals' outstanding task at hand is at some random minute. As an end client, it's incredible to almost certainly perceive how my week is taking a gander toward the begin with the goal that anything that surfaces can be overseen and it's a weight to attempt and juggle everything.

I adore how straightforward the interface is. Everything is clear and on one page, valuable reports, marks and extra highlights, for example, tentitive work or group sees make resourcing a lot simpler. I truly like utilizing this instrument, I use it regularly at my work. It is anything but difficult to deal with the pipeline and resolve conflicts effectively.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I'd like the ability to clean and audit it a bit more, as we use it for a very large network and if you make adjustments to the weekly schedule too close to when the weekly emails go out, the changes might not always get picked up in the notification.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

If you need a tool to keep track of project resources and forecast upcoming requirements then Float is the answer. It does a great job, and the support I get from the company whenever there's an issue or query is fantastic.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float on a daily basis to plan the resources in our studio - it enables me to react quickly to the ever changing needs of our clients and has had a very real impact on the efficiency of our teams

  ### 31. "An extraordinary item, that addresses the issues of our organization"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jordan n. | Supervisor, Telecommunications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

The best part about this application is that it utilizes my current Quick Books record (and I think other bookkeeping programming) so you don't need to refresh your information manually.Integration to freeagent is brilliant, takes truly a couple of minutes to set up and you can get an abnormal state income very rapidly, it requires some push to get your weighted information in and to keep it refreshed, however the capacity (when the information is) to run situations (for example including new staff pay rates, advantages and costs) , and plan income around this is vital to maintaining our business.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

It doesn't appear to ascertain benefit or misfortune gauges, which for an application that figures budgetary results doesn't appear to sound good to me.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

There are two or three highlights that you'll be needing once you truly get into utilizing it that would make it a lot more vigorous, yet I beliiiieve that it's new so simply give it some time and ideally they'll arrive. All things considered, it's certainly spared a huge amount of time so give it a shot. They have a free preliminary which is the means by which we got hooked. If you are searching for something speedier and less demanding this is a decent alternative.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was burnt out on having to physically refresh the majority of our information each time we were prepared to gauge, this has spared so much time. Likewise, having the capacity to spare out as a PDF gives me that capacity to send it off to my higher-ups and get their approvals.Other's in our organization utilize this product and they're attempting to give better perceivability to our income. The advantage is that they don't need to utilize Xero and snap a couple of times to get to the reports that have been worked to do this in Xero. So I surmise the advantage is a couple pretty diagrams and a couple of less snaps.

  ### 32. Stay on Top of Your Cash With FLOAT

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor O. | President, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

It gives you accurate and real time peek of your cash flow.
Also, Float is able to project into the future of your account and gives the users smart and intelligent insights on how to grow your companies and meets your goals. This is one thing I like about FLOAT.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

App does not integrate well with team projects, which means you have to manually enter all tasks, by implication, it makes it cumbersome and very tiring. It also has the downside of loading slow for big team projects.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Without mincing words, this is a "go to" tool you can use to stay ahead of all your cash flow and expenditures.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The highlight of it, is that Float is used for planning and analysis of all your expenditures. So it is a great tool to use to stay on top of your cash flow.

  ### 33. Float does exactly what it says: not much more, not less.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam D. | Visual Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

The best part about this app is that it uses my existing Quick Books account (and I think other accounting software) so you don't have to update your data manually.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

It doesn't seem to calculate profit or loss estimates, which for an app that forecasts financial outcomes doesn't seem to make sense to me.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

There are a couple of features that you'll be wanting once you really get into using it that would make it so much more robust, but I beliiiieve that it's new so just give it some time and hopefully they'll get there. With that being said, it's definitely saved a ton of time so give it a shot. They have a free trial which is how we got hooked.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was tired of having to manually update all of our data every time we were ready to forecast, this has saved so much time. Also, being able to save out as a PDF gives me that ability to send it off to my higher-ups and get their approvals.

  ### 34. Float allows us to accelerate growth by forecasting our cash flow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edmund K. L. | Self Employee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float is being used by myself and my Director of Operations. We both use the service to forecast out our cash flow. Depending on the numbers we see we allocate more to each department across the organization to spend more in order to grow faster. This is a crucial service for us as we are trying to maximize our growth by spending as much as possible.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Quickbooks integration could be improved to automatically include recurring transactions.
Pricing is a little steep for smaller businesses.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

resolve cash flow problems, improve skills and efficency

  ### 35. Great cash flow management tool for entrepreneurs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah H. | Principal, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

the integration with xero makes this an incredibly powerful tool for organizations to stay 100% on top of their cash flow. Very intuitive

**What do you dislike about Float?**

as bookkeepers, it's a bit more challenging to implement with clients as there has to be clear communication about state of GL that is integrated with the program

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

up to the minute cash flow management. ability to share visual representation of cash flow across a team

  ### 36. Great program!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float is a cloud-based resource planning and scheduling solution designed for small, midsize and large enterprises. Float has made my like easier in the business world and is utilizing the internet to keep everything safe and secure. I really would recommend float to anyone seeking a cloud based planning and scheduling software.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I have nothing so far that I dislike about float. It is a very useful software in my business. I will update this review if I come up with anything I dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

If you are on the fence, I would recommend trying a free trial or just testing it out for a few months. Once you have seen the difference float will make on your life, you won't go back! I seriously had doubts when first trying out this software, but over time this program Began to show its value in my work and personal life. I really like how it is also cloud based, so I can access my schedule at any time. I really recommend giving float a shot if you feel you are unorganized and need to clear up your schedule. I am not one to use planners, paper calendars, or notes, so naturally, this cloud based option worked well with my lifestyle.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit from having float is the ability to stay organized and be able to access that information at any time! I am super happy to have float within my business.

  ### 37. Great app for planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** david b. | client services director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Float?**

Integration to freeagent is superb, takes literally a few minutes to set up and you can get a high level cash flow very quickly, it takes some effort to get your weighted data in and to keep it updated, but the ability (once the data is) to run scenarios (e.g. adding new staff salaries, benefits and expenses) , and plan cashflow around this is paramount to running our business.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Difficult to import prospect data from a CRM to run weighted scenarios.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ability to run scenarios for when to employ new staff

  ### 38. Good Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float has a very good and understandable user experience. It is easy to navigate through different services they provide. There are very few cashflow management apps but Float can be considered as one of the best out there currently in the market

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Being the most easy to use app it still has its flaws but very trivial ones. I once queried their customer service executive and it took them whole 2 days to respond back to me which for me is too long since I handle very time sensitive things from Float

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since the application is very efficient and effective, I have integrated it as a day to day use app for my employees too therefore it is very good to manage the finances as per our own requirements.

  ### 39. Nice software, not the greatest

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebeca P. | Owner/CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

It has a nice dash board, very practical to work with a schedule.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I think it is ok, however when you compare it to something like Xero, you can see that there is nothing or very little that this software is giving you that you cannot do with Xero. So for me, is an unnecessary step.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

If you are looking for something quicker and easier this is a good option.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides very nice graphics and a good overview of the company.

  ### 40. A great product, that meets the needs of our company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew H. | Product Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Float?**

We like the overview we are provided by the data that Float pulls straight out of Xero.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I wasn't able to set up our second (different currency) company as a merged entity. I had to run the two business separately

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

We enjoyed the product more than something like Futurli

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a product that would provide an overview of our whole company finances. We got that with Float

  ### 41. Love Float! Won't ever manually update my spreadsheet again!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

Float automatically updates all my user data from my accounting platform which means I spend SO much less time each week crouched in front of my computer! It is a breath of fresh air!

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Was a little complex when we were first setting things up. Once we got our wifi on board things started syncing properly!

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

LOVE Float!

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were so sick of spending hours on our excel spreadsheet updating cash flow information. With Float is all does it automatically, it's amazing! When we implemented Float we saved so much time!!!

  ### 42. Float Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tatum T. | Boss, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

Foat is a very handy service that makes it easy to plan events

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Technological issues sometimes but overall very useful

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Planning events takes half the time

  ### 43. Float

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Counselor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Float?**

I like that everything is synchronized for office planning.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Getting everyone to onboard has been challenging at times.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing everyone's schedule in the office has increased productivity.

  ### 44. Float scheduler

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Float?**

I like Floats ease of use and ability to quickly modify when needed. Clean dashboard as well.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

Would like to see a mobile app to be able to modify schedules on the road and not have to log in through a web page.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to use Excel for scheduling which was ugly. Too many users in the file making changes and it never saved.

  ### 45. I really don't find Float useful

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2016

**What do you like best about Float?**

The best thing I can say about Float is that the interface looks good.

**What do you dislike about Float?**

I don't particularly dislike anything about Float, I just don't feel it provides any value. We use Xero for our accounting system and there's nothing that Float provides that I can't build a custom report to do in Xero.

**Recommendations to others considering Float:**

Consider if you can do the same thing in your accounting system and save yourself some money. If it were up to me, we would get rid of this waste of money.

**What problems is Float solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Other's in our company use this software and they're trying to provide better visibility to our cash flow. The benefit is that they don't have to use Xero and click a few times to get to the reports that have been built to do this in Xero. So I guess the benefit is a couple pretty graphs and a few less clicks.
