## FL Studio Reviews
  ### 1. Intuitive and Fun Music Production Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel R. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

I like how easy it is to write, make, and produce music with FL Studio. The interface is so user-friendly that even beginners can easily use it. It's a fun tool to use for writing and producing music, and it even solves the problem of making music for those who didn't know how before. The initial setup was very easy for me. Additionally, FL Studio can be integrated with powerful tools like Dolby for mixing and mastering, which helps me achieve a studio-level musical experience in making and producing great songs.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

The load on FL Studio sometimes makes things very difficult. The only thing would be to improve is to include more VST plugins which come built-in and provide a vast variety of sounds free of cost.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio helped me learn music production, making it easy to write and produce music with its user-friendly interface.

  ### 2. FL Studio’s Intuitive Workflow with Powerful Tools and Lifetime Free Upgrades

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simone B. | Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL Studio stands out for its intuitive workflow and fast idea-to-production cycle. The pattern-based sequencing and piano roll are especially powerful and easy to use, even for complex compositions. It has a wide range of built-in plugins and instruments, which reduces the need for external tools. The UI is flexible and customizable, and updates are frequent with lifetime free upgrades, which adds long-term value.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

Some aspects of the interface can feel inconsistent or cluttered, especially for new users. Audio recording and editing workflows are not as streamlined as in some competing DAWs. Collaboration features and version control are limited, making team-based projects harder to manage. Certain advanced features require workarounds rather than being natively integrated.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio enables efficient music production from ideation to final mix in a single environment. It reduces setup time and tool fragmentation by providing a comprehensive set of built-in instruments and effects. This improves productivity and allows faster iteration on creative ideas, which is particularly useful for producing and refining tracks independently.

  ### 3. Simplifies Music Production, But Needs Recording Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swapnil C. | Internship Trainee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

I use FL Studio as my primary DAW for music production, recording, mixing, and mastering. Its ease of access and simplicity solve a lot of problems for me, unlike other software like Cubase or Pro Tools that have a steep learning curve. Music programming and beat making are the easiest with FL Studio. I also enjoy beat creation and the easy routing in the mixer channel. It has simplified mixing and processing in a way that no other DAW could do. The initial setup of FL Studio is very easy.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

FL Studio has limited slots in the channel mixer rack, which feels restricting. Recording isn’t its strong suit either; the process is tedious. I also think that FL Studio's audio engine is slightly inferior compared to Cubase, Pro Tools, or even Ableton. The video player has issues, especially when producing background music or scores—despite keeping it detached, it disappears sometimes. It also doesn't always sync with the timeline, and often gets stuck, requiring me to reload the plugin and video file.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio's ease of access and simplicity solve the problem of steep learning curves seen in other DAWs. It simplifies mixing and processing, making music programming and beat making the easiest for me.

  ### 4. User-Friendly with Powerful Plugin Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neo L. | Freelance Camera Operator, Sound and Editor, Media Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

I like that FL Studio is entirely user friendly, which makes it easy to navigate. I appreciate being able to use external plugins, as that allows me to keep up with modern sounds without frequent updates. The availability of numerous instrument and effects processing plugins is fantastic because it lets me change instrumentations more often and frequently, enhancing my creativity. The initial setup was very simple, which was a big plus.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

I love everything about the software.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio solves all my audio problems, including resizing, mixing, and mastering. It's user-friendly and allows the use of external plugins to keep up with modern sounds without frequent updates.

  ### 5. FL Studio: Indispensable for Musical Creations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mário S.

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

I like to play piano with FL Keys and enjoy some of the available galleries. FL Keys allows creating various melodies thanks to its range of available pianos, while other galleries help me create beats that pleasantly complete my projects. I found it easy to set up FL Studio and enjoyed the music that plays right at the program's opening. I highly recommend FL Studio, as I see it as an application that helps with the mental health of those who know how to use it.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

I think maybe Melodyne, but it has already been surpassed by autotune. I don't have much to comment on about that, because it's not bad, I just prefer to use autotune over Melodyne.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio helps me create spots for advertisements and generates a source of income. With FL Keys, I create various melodies, and the available galleries help me complete audible and pleasant projects.

What I like best about FL Studio is its intuitive piano roll and drag-and-drop workflow, which make composing and arranging music fast and creative.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

What I dislike about FL Studio is that its CPU usage can get high with heavy projects, causing lag or crashes if the computer isn’t powerful enough.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio solves the problem of complex music production by providing an all-in-one platform for composing, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering. This benefits me by making the entire music creation process smoother, faster, and more accessible—even without expensive studio gear.

**Reviewed by:** Marcus D. | Retail Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

The best part about FL studio is that it’s interface has changed yet the same quality features exists amongst them all, making compatibility in future projects less of an issue.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

Sometimes the multithread processing unit stammers the audio, providing irrelevant noises to occur whilst productions.

Being generous to returning users. It benefits me because I am always aware they are the ones responsible for update.

Despite its user friendly, i sometimes find its audio editing capabilities less intuitive or robust compare to other DAWs.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it provides professional-grade tools for music production at an affordable price, making high qualify production accessible to independent artists and producers .

  ### 10. It's the best instrumental production software that I know

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ngala Emmanuel (Jason) S. | Web & Graphic Design, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Besides work, I also do beat-making for the side hustle. In 2015 I started using Fruity Loop Studio ( version 12 edition up to version 20 today) and my experience with this software has been very impactful.

I started as a complete beginner and was kind of scared by how complex the user interface was -however, as time evolved I finally realized that It wasn't as hard or complex as I thought.

Fruity Loop Studio offers some of the best instrumental music production solutions. It's easy to use and empowers creativity workflow.

It is rich in drum packs, instrument generators, SFX sounds, and presets.

Some of the main features that I adore are:
- the playlist. It's very easy to work with and I get to assign different colors to each track (in the playlist) which helps to better organize my instruments to easily distinguish them. The playlist can hold quite a large number of tracks.

- The mixer: It's also another great future that I adore in Fl Studio. I get to send all the instruments from the channel rack into separate tracks in the mixer. The mixer gives me extra control over mixing and mastering of my beats.

-The plugins: Fl offers a ton of helpful plugins from Equalizers to reverbs, delays, compression, and more.

And one of the most amazing aspects of it is that I can create a limitless number of automation with every single plugin. This is amazing as it gives a modern feeling to my productions.

- Fl is also versatile. Apart from the built-in plugins and sample packs, I can also import and install third-party plugins.

Just with a scan, It automatically detects the newly installed plugins and I can add the to repository immediately.

The user interface is very flexible, responsive and supports drag & drop. I really recommend this software

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

While Fl Studio is a great software, It takes a lot of disk space on my HDD and also uses a lot of memory. But I think that it's not a big deal

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to create instrumental beats that local artists in my area find professional and use in their albums. It's really a great tool

  ### 11. Excellent instrumental music production software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2023

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL Studio remains one of the most accessible and fantastic software for instrumental productions. It has an attractive user interface and delivers a quality user experience.

The tool might seem confusing at first glance but with time it becomes a simple tool and believe me it's result-driven.

Both the demo and premium versions come with tons of sample packs (Guitars, keyboards, synths, drums, etc) with high-quality sample rates.

The user environment is highly adaptable compared to other traditional tools that I've used before.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

The only weird thing about FL Studio is that it's not multilingual. For a person who has been used to a language other than English, it will be challenging to learn and adapt to using FL Studio.

That's a minor and yet an important aspect the developers need to consider improving on.

Secondly, I think FL still lacks some advanced options for vocal editing. For example, the Newton plugin lacks advanced note editing options which are highly essential for vocal production and hence I don't think Fl is suitable for vocal production.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's awesome software for beats and instrumental production. I recommend it.

  ### 12. Fl studio is a very dynamic music software there is.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Crane H. | Holyfent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2023

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

I like that Fl studio allows users to be in a creative space , it has lot features to pick from but well sorted and well categorized. It is not confusing to use and one can learn as they use it.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

Sometimes when overloaded with plugins it crashes but this depends on the type of hardware one would be launching it from. It takes a bit more knowledge to produce high quality outcomes.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving an issue of having to use multiple softwares as it has features like sound capturing, plugins to compose instrumentals and last but only few know about this , you can also edit video usin ZGameEditor Visualizer.

  ### 13. Best starter DAWS for Beginners

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jhon Michael B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2023

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

What I like most about FL Studio is its user-friendly interface. It's really easy to learn if you are starting in the music industry, and it's also very easy to add new VST plugins if you're interested in a trending one on the market

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

What I disliked about it is that sometimes it utilizes a lot of CPU and RAM, although it won't hinder you from producing really good music because there's an option to lower the animation

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly it teaches others on how to make a really good music and put it in the industry, it helps alot of people to develop thier creativiy towards music and arts and especially me.

  ### 14. Fl Studio - It makes music production easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suraj M. | Music Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Music Production ia fun with this DAW. Searching sound become so easy.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

Should work more rewiring.I really can't rewire it with other DAW's. Truly a big issue

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smooth. The performance save a lot of time and inbuilt plug-ins are master.

  ### 15. Best DAW for learning Music Production

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeswin J. | Content QA Associate , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL Studio has a colorful, lively UI with a lot of assignable tracks and playlists that are readily accessible in the workspace. It has a separate space for mixing tracks, MIDI Mapping as well as layering which is very easy to use, and even easier to figure out if you want to experiment with things. It also has a default ASIO mode that helps to connect external MIDI and create music if you do not have an Audio Interface. There are a lot of internal plugins which help you to create music as well as Mix/Master tracks.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

Since it is a resource-intensive DAW, there is room for improvements as far as RAM Management is concerned compared to its competitors like Ableton, Logic Pro X, Presonus Studio One. There are certain buggy patches as far as bridging 3rd party VSTs are concerned, but the update and resolution frequency is less as there are a lot of VSTs coming in the market today that need compatibility for both Live as well as for Production.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a very easy-to-use DAW that can be opened in a jiffy and worked on without too many hassles. It supports multi-threaded processing as well as background rendering, which are very important to handle CPU usage and organizing tasks accordingly. Moreover, it has a very easy export system compared to its competitors, and that's one of the reasons why many of the Artists (including myself) prefer using this for Mapping, Editing, and Production.

  ### 16. Good Daw especially for creating beats

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David C. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

beat making capabilities are the best in the business. Plugins are really good and comes with lots of standard ones. Other plugs work with it too. Editing is ok, but could be better work flow. Quality of sound is great. Is less expensive than others and comes with updates for life.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

I would say the editing workflow is the worst thing about fl. It just doesn't have the same capabilities in workflow for editing that logic or protools has. But also is much cheaper so I like it. I've also had a few problems getting my waves plugs to keep working perfectly on it a couple of times when they have updated waves and/or fl.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me mix my music and record my music. Also, helps to create beats for songs.

  ### 17. Three words: Practical, easy and fun.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario B. | Web Developer and Marketing Consultant, Music, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Without a doubt, one of the things I like most about FL Studio compared to other DAWs is its interface since it has simplicity and organization that makes work very fluid. In addition, native plugins are authentic gems that new users can count on tothe most advanced professionals.

One of the most essential features to consider is the free updates for life, which, together with the support that Image Line offers for this DAW, do nothing more than add points to opt for FL Studio.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

Honestly, there's almost nothing I don't like about FL Studio. Still, maybe I was expecting a more important graphic change in version 21 or more features related to audio manipulation in the playlist.

Perhaps I would have liked the release of their latest version to be somewhat more stable and polished, but as I said before, thanks to their support and the speed with which they work, all these problems are being solved as the days go by.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It mainly solves the problems I have with other DAWs, and that is that FL Studio has made the learning curve and processes that seemed very complicated before easy, especially for users who need a fluid and understandable workflow in their day-to-day.

Personally, the small price of this DAW made it easy for me to enter the world of audio production. It also provided me natively with tools that I thought were unthinkable without resorting to third-party plugins.

  ### 18. Rewarding and professional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** eric m. | Vendedor en media markt, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

The advantages of FL Studio are the immense options it provides, meaning there are hundreds of thousands of plugins compatible with FL that make the experience of working with FL as enriching and rewarding as possible. On the other hand, it is a very simple audio interface for producers and artists/singers. And finally, the internet is full of video tutorials that will help you make the most of FL Studio.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

What I like the least is their trial version that doesn't allow you to save projects to work on them again; they force you to pay for the license to be able to save projects as such. However, you can export audio without having to have the active license.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is resolving the compatibility of all the plugins, thus becoming a more productive interface without requiring a computer with superior features.

  ### 19. Review of FL Studio

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

What I like the best about FL Studio is its "Fruity Reeverb 2" effect plugin. I like how it sounds and it can be easy to edit.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

The interface can be a bit overwhelming and unintuitive. I also dislike how it can be difficult to re-open accidentally closed windows or efffects.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use FL Studio to edit audio. I mostly edit my UTAU, Vocaloid, various audio and projects. I turn to FL Studio when I need something more complex or powerful than Audacity.

  ### 20. FL Studio is the only music production software I continuously use decade after decade.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael D. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2023

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Monitor screen sizes are bigger than ever. So with FL Studio, I can take full advantage of this and see more of what I'm working on all at the same time without having to close windows.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

At first, FL Studio can be very confusing to get set up and running. Settings will need to be tweaked, and some trial and error will occur before you can start creating music.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When it comes to making music for me, I like to be able to create a track and master it all in the same application. I don't have to switch back and forth between programs. That's a considerable solution solved for me.

  ### 21. FL Studio the music box.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashish L. | Sound Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

The best thing about FL studio is the abundant collection of music vsts, consisting varieties of Indian and western instruments. And the freedom to use them to compose any track for songs and bgm. Most useful for the composition of EDMs and Hip-hop music and also contemporary.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

The most irritating thing about FL studio is the discomfort in editing and mixing the tracks. It doesn't allow a particular piece of the the music clip to separate and control independently. The changes made to a piece of a music track is also seen in another piece of the same track unless you use automation for everything. Also in mixing the pre loaded delays are bit discomforting and unsatisfactory. And it's difficult to group few track together in the mixer as well.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As said earlier, FL studio helps to compose great music with all the pre installed vsts and has collection of track editing plugins which doesn't let you go out of the software for processing or exclusive editing of the music track. Recording vocals, music or even midi tracks are very convenient and easy to use. These features are helping a lot in composing music and completing my projects with no complaints from the clients.

  ### 22. FL is the best DAW

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent P. | Licensed Professional Counselor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL studio's user interface is much more intuitive and easy to use than other DAWs (e.g., cubase, pro tools, etc.). I've used a hand full of them over the years and none are as easy to navigate as FL. This only continues to be true with every update from Image-Line.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

There are fewer and fewer downsides to FL as they refine the user interface and streamline workflow. One frustration I continue to have is that they don't allow for more customization for backgrounds, themes, skins, and the like.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL is the DAW that I started with and have used for over 20 years now. I tried switching to other, then industry-leading DAWs, but none were as powerful and easy to use as FL.

  ### 23. Best Music Production Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek D. | Digital Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Having used FL Studio for the last 3 years, I can honestly say FL Studio is the best music production software because of its ease of use and friendly user interface. Ableton has every feature that FL Studio has but it is for advanced users who already know the terminology for a lot of things. FL Studio's learning curve is not as steep as Ableton's. FL studio has tutorials in abundance, everywhere. It has a built-in audio visualizer, runs on every operating system, and has plugin support, they also have a free version that is time unlimited. FL Studio has every flexibility you need to create the sounds the way you want. It has a lot of synthesizers and supports third-party plugins as well. FL Studio has a very intuitive mixer with at least 100 tracks to link your patterns/sounds. You can add effects directly to the mixer and set it's level. The organization is also better in FL Studio. You can group tracks together, colour them for easier classification, hide grouped tracks which can clean up your space on the playlist, etc.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

As I said, they have so many features available, that you'll never run out of things that you can do. But for a beginner, it can be a little overwhelming. I would suggest buying one of their cheapest plans for 199$ and working on it before you buy the whole package which is quite expensive only to find out you are not doing even half the things you have bought. I would still suggest going with FL Studio rather than Ableton as it is easier to learn. Another thing I hoped to have in FL Studio is a better implemented playlist mode where you can connect external equipment and record a track by playing those instruments in each playlist. You can then combine them to create your whole track.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

FL Studio is the best DAW you can use as a beginner as it has basic terminology with advanced features which will make your learning experience fun and easy.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio has given me access to cheap music creation abilities. I can create sounds using synthesizers available on FL or third-party plugins and modulate those sounds using the number of tools available. There's a huge library of kicks, snares, claps, hats, percussions, etc. that I can use. FL Studio gave me the ability to create music in the leisure of my bedroom.

  ### 24. PRODUCTION MADE EASY

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ed N. | Imaging Director / Programming Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

So simple to use. Already comes with some nice stock plug-ins. You can build on that. It's a simple program to learn & it's so efficient.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

Nothing that I dislike. This is my go to.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's cost efficient. To be able to produce music at a high level with a low cost.

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Fl studio is best for beginner producers. It provide good and High quality plugins and some free samples to prectice daily for making beats, songs also for recording stuff. Fl studio is really good daw.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

I don't like the automation feature cause other daws have better automation techniques to use very effectively. They gave two delay plugins that is not necessary.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They solving and improves their interface and add some cool plugins and also we can sign our SoundCloud account that's really benifit. We can export good sound quality.

  ### 27. A versatile and capable DAW with lifetime free updates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heten D. | CG Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL Studio comes with three different editions for most potential buyer segments The All Plugin edition comes with all the plugins by image-line shipped in FL Studio.

I like the fact that it ships with most kind of synthsis/effects to be able to create any kind of desired sound or effect, some even simulating instrument physics to generate sound like

Just to name a few

Physical Modeling: Plucked, Drumaxx/Drumpad, Ogun,

Additive: Harmor

Additive/Subtractive: Harmless

FM: Sytrus

Fruity patcher allows for even more control patching and building complex effects and sounds, just the number of plugins built into the software can allow for achieving any kind of sound and music desired.

It is industry standard for hip-hop, trap and EDM music and stands its own ground among competing products.

I also like that it can be controlled using FL Studio Remote App from capable Android or iOS devices and that FL Studio Mobile projects can be brought in seamlessly for further working and refining in FL Studio, all in all its possible to start work on the go and finalise it on FL Studio on the workstation.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

Although FLStudio is pretty whole as a daw, the lack of a proper live performance mode might affect some, there isn't a proper wavetable synth in the plethora of already shipped synths.

The versioning is quite strange and updates have been mostly incremental with minor changes for the past few years.

Support for M-Audio Hyperctl is hacky.

Image-line team must reduce clicks needed to get actions done. Maybe add more keyboard/midi shortcuts.

Browsing all Synth presets and VSTs requires a lot of clicks and overall is a bit unintuitive compared to competing products.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

Definitely go for it!

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FLStudio has one of the best piano roll, comes with some of the most complete range of synths and effects midi tools. It is a jack of all when it comes to working with sound. Infact it ships with several ways to correct picth, work with recording, loops and midi.

It has saved me on several instances when I needed to correct pitch in pitcher, it works realtime. So can be controlled using midi cc/cv.

  ### 28. An outstanding all-in-one music production software!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saumya D. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2021

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Although the list is long when it comes to things that I love about FL Studio, some of the most useful features are the Inbuilt Instrument tuner, Fruity Parametric EQ 2, and a large number of mixer tracks.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

There is not anything worth complaining about in FL Studio. Still, if I were to provide feedback, then I would suggest that the routing process could be simplified a little because its complexity can prove to be demotivational for beginners.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

Don't get demotivated if you get overwhelmed by an array of features. Take it slow, start from the basics and build your way up.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use FL Studio to make renditions of songs and their covers. With FL Studio, I don't have to go around working with multiple software to get the job done since it provides me will all the tools required to produce a song.

  ### 29. One of the best DAWs available in the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh K. | Specialist - Cloud and Infra Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2021

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL Studio is a software that has almost all the features which a music producer and a sound engineer needs. What I like the best about FL studio is lited below:
1. Its support for Mac OS
2. Feature to use multiple arrangements in multiple tracks
3.You can easily change the time signature
4.It allows you to consolidate multiple tracks just in a single click
5. You can hide grouped tracks to get a clean and clutter-free interface
6. Number of mixer tracks have been increased for powerful mixing
7. Plugin delay compensation feature
8. Recording tracks can be auto grouped
9. VFX Level Scaler
10. Sample offset and in app purchases.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

In FL Studio, the only thing that I dislike is that it is complicated to use for beginners. There are too many options, and it lacks the free-form drag and drops for audio clips, which makes it a little challenging to use. I have used Acoustica Mixcraft as well, and that is the most accessible software for beginners, but apart from being complicated, there are no drawbacks of FL Studio. Also, it uses many system resources, so this can also be considered a minor drawback of FL Studio.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

If you are a beginner, I would suggest you to first go through the video tutorials available on youtube and check all the components of FL studio and then try creating small samples of your music. Once you would understand its functionality, trust me, you would love the software. Give it a try and create awesome music.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With FL Studio, I am producing most of my songs which are already released in major streaming platforms. Benefit of using FL studio is that once you have mastered it, there is no going back. You can produce whatever you want. The powerful tools and mixers of FL Studio make it very easy and possible to compose any tune from your mind to machine (I mean not magically, you would have to play it in the virtual instruments). For professionals, it is the most reliable tool to produce music and make great songs.

  ### 30. #1 DAW for beatmaking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javaughn H. | Mixing/Mastering Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2021

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

The software is user-friendly and easy to navigate around. The introduction layout when first opening FL Studio gives basic information on how to start making beats. The new update 20.5 is even better when Image-line updates the software for vocal recording making the DAW a one-stop-shop for most musicians worldwide, I personally use Fl Studio for over 3 years. and have not decided to change for any other.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

The only thing I dislike about FL studio is the theme they have had for over 5 years now and most beatmaker is not happy about that. The volume of negative requests about the theme has risen so high I think Image-line has received that feedback before.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

Take time to study the user interface also you don't need to know everything in the software only the most important tools.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In personal experience with the recent update of FL Studio, Image-line is now working to make the daw better to satisfy everyone. FL Studio is now becoming the worlds leading daw for beat-making.

  ### 31. Simple Yet Powerful Music Making Software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL is an amazing piece of software for making music, the workflow of this soft is just so intuitive and fast that you can literally make a beat in just 10 minutes. Channel rack is one of the favourites of beatmakers. The Vector-based GUI of this software is so beautifully designed that you will never get bored of it. The Piano roll in fl is by far the best among all other digital audio workstations, you can make melodies with ease, it has a bunch of tools like chop, legato, arps, etc. the possibilities are just endless with this amazing software and the best part is that it just loads up in seconds.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

The routing in fl is not that great. Also, the audio recording and manipulation are somehow not that great in the fl studio. Also, the UI sometimes feels cluttered because of the detachable windows. For more significant projects, it can be chunky. Apart from these, it's a magical software.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly Installation of fl studio, the configuration of VST folders, audio settings, CPU optimization, ram management so that VST and DAW itself doesn't crash in heavy load scenarios.
The benefits I have realized are with every problem, and I get better with this software. It provides me the flexibility of discovering something new and dive deep into the technicals of software. It is also taking me a step ahead in becoming a FLWizard.

  ### 32. The Best DAW to Make Music

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash K. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2021

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

I have been using FL Studio for more than three years, and it's just great. I didn't see anything I wanted to make and didn't. From soft music to party music and hard-hitting remixes, everything is possible.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

It comes with a single dark user interface. No themes or skin go with it. There are many options to customize the background and colors for almost every block, but I am still not getting the whole white user interface.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not running a business using fl studio. I use it to create melody and remixes in my free time, but maybe I will produce music one day for business purposes.

  ### 33. I have used fl studio for more than 10 years now.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan J. | Account Executive/Marketing Consulting and Sales , Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2021

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

The community of help that has been made. 2nd the Patcher and its capabilities are fantastic! it looks so much cleaner, easier to visualize what ur doing, from a first time looking at the software I’d say fl studio wouldn’t be hard to adjust to. I still have trouble trying to work abelton. I have a launch pad trying to figure out how to work it and make songs but cannot do it, it’s too complex. So good thing you can use a launchpad as a midi with fl studio and especially good with the fl 20 update. First of all, its user friendly capabilities… is one which draws attention for a many new users. When i first began using it back in 2011 in college i was able to learn the basics like the browser, the sequencer which is now rack, mixer channel and the top interface that has master volume, pitch knob the meter,Playlist button

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

The recording process is clunky and the setting up and managing of busses should be more efficient. I like everything except working in patterns. I'm just too used to laying out the tracks individually and I don't see the advantage of being able to put any clip on any track except making you lose track of things occasionally because it's disorganized AF. Any application that forces you to micromanage your own organization is doing something wrong. Some people like it, though, but I hope they get rid of it eventually. It would make recording actual tracks a whole lot easier, which is my main reason for continually going back to Studio One for any real recording and mastering.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

Get your hands dirty and make music! Find FLP files that you can study from and try to remake songs you know and love. Versatility with the stock plugins- Fl studio comes with a considerably high quality stock plugins that are usable with any music you want! I have used fl studio. So which ever daw you decide to use it will all depend with how you interact with it’s features and not how popular the daw is.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making a unique sound that I can easily replicate. I like being able to place different patterns on the same track. It improves my workflow when I can place the main drum patterns in the same track as the fill or break drum patterns. Recording multiple tracks of live Instruments and vocals feels odd in fl studio to me, but I love the flow for arranging programmed patterns. Secondly unlimited future updates that come with a purchased version.Once you purchase any version of fl studio you will notice that on any subsequent version upgrade, you will get an update for free. That is a major difference over all other daws like ableton, reasons and others. All you need is to log in to your image-line account and claim the update.

  ### 34. FL studio helped me get into a world of electronic music production.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Đorđe Z. | Fibre Planner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2021

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL Studio's sequencer and piano roll are two best tools that I used in FL Studio.
FL Studio has a great timeline interface and it's easy to arrange your music using blocks that are available in the software. File management is very good for somebody who is a beginner. The price of this software is also very beginner friendly, meaning you don't have to waste a lot of money if you just want to get started. Default sampler that is used for every loaded sample is loaded with options, you can do a lot of things (fade in, fade out, loop, change pitch etc.)

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

FL Studio has a weird way of sidechaining and kind of confusing routing if you want to use return tracks for reverbs etc. or for parallel processing. You'll have to click through a lot of knobs and buttons to get this few simple procedures that are used everyday in music-making. Factory EQ, compressor, reverb, delay etc. are not very good, but are pretty usable for something basic. I think they could do much better job at modeling their dynamics plugins.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio helps me to sequence my drum loops and to cut my samples, since Edison is a pretty versatile sampler. VSTs that come along with FL Studio are also great (I like Sakura VST).
FL Studio is very good if you have a low to mid range spec machine and it is not very CPU intensive.

  ### 35. Great music production software with multiple custom plugins

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davis W. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2020

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Great range of inbuild samples and plugins, has good MIDI support. I make EDM so it definitely helps with organizing my sounds and arranging my composition

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

It definitely has a learning curve. Access to the wide variety of plugins may be difficult to find in the beginning. Some ergonomic features aren't so intuitive and it definitely needs more support and tutorials on its shortcuts etc.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

Definitely use online tutorials when you just start, whether on youtube or even a paid mentor. The learning curve can be discouraging at times.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I make music using FL Studio. It has more features than free software such as audacity, would definitely recommend if you are serious about music production

  ### 36. Mobile Creative Studio

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared A. | Owner/ Operator, Arts and Crafts, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2016

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

FL Studio has had a very distinct drum sequencer since it's inception, and I couldn't enjoy it more. I use both PC and Mobile versions, and am happy to say that they integrate with each other. While the mobile version has less functionality than the PC version, is enables be to create soundscapes on airplane trips and bus rides. This is more than enough to get an idea established, then transfer to the PC version for more editing and mixing options.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

While I haven't had a problem with the PC version crashing, the Mobile version will definitely bomb when doing certain edits. Always save often! When I move or delete a large group of notes, and hit the "undo" button, the program is almost guaranteed to crash, losing whatever you worked on since the last save.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

While this may not be the best software for mixing and mastering a track, it definitely helps with the writing process and can export MIDI or WAV for whatever you are doing your final master in.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When writing music as a single composer, the benefits of having so many Virtual Instruments at your disposable is priceless.

  ### 37. My go-to DAW for music composition and production

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2021

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

Its straightforward tools to create ideas. Since 2004 it has been my favorite daw to compose. The pattern probably is my favorite asset. It allows me to create rhythms as fast as nothing else. It's easy solutions, together with the playlist, enables to focus more in the creating than staying on technicalities, which is way is my go-to for production.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

The mixer is what I am still not 100% into, knowing other softwares' in comparison. Sometimes I find it slowing me down in the process of attaching each element of my production to its individual channel. I never been a fan of the bus and sends management. I think it could have been simplified.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

If you producing genres especially like hiphop, electronic and, generally that is quite "grid-based", FL is your best choice.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The midi programming comes very natural compared to other daws. It's easier for me to program and edit all the midi in the FL piano roll.
Sampling using Slicexx is also an action than for a decade kept me on FL being satisfied of the capabilities of the software.
Its side files column allows me to research samples quicker than any other daw, which solves my production needs in a very satisfying way.

The whole signal flow logic is a bit different from other DAWs so it was a bit challenging for me to get used to.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

  ### 46. A handy music programming application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2020

**What do you like best about FL Studio?**

The interface and note programming elements are intuitive for even beginners. Users can just look at the timeline to see where notes are placed. We can hear sound files looped in sections and then continually make adjustments live. There are lots of good quality loop templates that can set a very solid foundation for melodies or general instrumentation choices and mixes.

**What do you dislike about FL Studio?**

I like to sometimes have more control over the placement of notes and not have them so perfectly snapped into a certain rhythm. I think there are other sound and music software applications that can handle note placements with more flexibility.

**Recommendations to others considering FL Studio:**

Use a loop that has already been made by a professional or music library company. It can help to lay things out in a well-structured way for you.

**What problems is FL Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FL Studio reduces many steps and skills needed to create great sound media. The layout of the buttons and menus is neat and orderly, so I can usually get to what I need quickly and perform those actions with minimal clicks. The sound quality is excellent when using the included audio and instrument files. I can save to many sound file formats, which is important when working with so many other digital media software.
