I am a lawyer with a small firm in Portugal (real estate, urban planning and litigation) and I use Firecrawl every day through its MCP connector in Claude, both in my own research and in a scheduled task that reviews new legislation and case law each morning. What I like best is that it returns the full text of pages my other AI tools cannot open, such as the Portuguese Official Gazette (Diário da República), court decision databases and PDF publications. Working from the complete judgment, and not from a summary, makes my research more reliable and lets me quote the exact passage and case number Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Credit consumption can rise quickly. PDFs are charged per page, so reading long documents, such as e-books of a few hundred pages, can use thousands of credits in a single session; that happened to me in my first days on the paid plan. JSON and query formats also cost extra per page, and unused credits do not roll over on the Hobby plan. The usage alerts and the monthly cap on auto-reload helped me keep spending under control, but I would like to see an estimate of the credit cost before a large PDF is processed.
