## About Finout
Finout is an enterprise-grade FinOps platform designed to help organizations manage and optimize their cloud costs in an increasingly complex and dynamic technological landscape. As businesses adopt AI workloads that evolve rapidly and scale across multiple cloud environments and Kubernetes, Finout provides a robust solution for tracking and allocating costs efficiently. This platform is particularly suited for finance and engineering teams that require accurate and real-time insights into their spending across various resources. The target audience for Finout includes enterprises that operate in cloud environments and utilize Kubernetes for their applications. These organizations often face challenges in understanding their cost structures due to the rapid changes in workloads and the complexity of shared resources. Finout addresses these challenges by offering a comprehensive view of cloud expenditures through its MegaBill feature, which consolidates costs across all platforms and provides precise unit economics. This level of visibility is essential for teams to align their financial strategies with operational realities. One of the standout features of Finout is its automated cost allocation capability, which operates without the need for additional coding or agents. This ensures that teams can maintain accurate cost tracking without the overhead of manual processes. The introduction of Virtual Tags allows teams to update ownership and shared cost models in real time, ensuring that financial allocations reflect the actual usage and contributions of different teams. This dynamic approach to cost management enhances collaboration between finance and engineering departments, fostering a more integrated operational environment. Finout's AI suite further enhances its capabilities by providing tools that streamline financial operations. Billy, the AI FinOps assistant, allows users to query cost-related information in plain English, offering insights into spending patterns, anomalies, and budget comparisons. This feature empowers teams to make informed decisions based on live data visualizations. Additionally, specialized agents for FinOps autonomously detect waste and cost drift, investigate root causes, and facilitate closed-loop actions through popular collaboration tools like Jira, Slack, and ServiceNow. For organizations looking to develop their own AI workflows, Finout offers access to its governed data layer through APIs and data exporters, ensuring that all agents operate with the same accurate cost information that informs the platform's user interface. Overall, Finout stands out in the FinOps category by combining automated cost management with advanced AI capabilities, providing organizations with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of modern cloud spending effectively.

## Finout Reviews
 ### 1. Finout easy to use and deploy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elihai B. | DevOps Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Finout?**

The people that working there, they are high professionals

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

I didn't find something I dislike for now

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finout solves one of the hardest problems in cloud cost management: accurately allocating and understanding Kubernetes (K8s) costs. Before Finout, breaking down shared cluster costs across teams and services was nearly impossible. Now we get clear, granular K8s cost visibility alongside the rest of our cloud spend in one unified view. This helps us identify waste, allocate costs fairly to each team, and make informed optimization decisions.

 ### 2. Exceptional AWS Cost Management and Insightful Resource Optimization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ljupcho T. | Microsoft Certified Trainer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Finout?**

What I appreciate most about Finout is how convenient and detailed it is for managing AWS costs. Our primary use is with AWS, and the platform’s ability to separate and analyze resources by tags—even when those resources are within the same AWS account is incredibly helpful. This feature gives us a much finer level of cost granularity, making it much easier to pinpoint exactly where our spending is going.

Another major advantage is Finout’s capability to identify underutilized resources. The reports clearly highlight areas where resources are not being fully utilized, which enables us to gradually right-size them rather than making abrupt or risky changes. This method has allowed us to reduce unnecessary expenses and cut costs in a more controlled and efficient manner.

I use Finout quite often, setting alerts and notifications if a specific threshold is triggered for costs

In summary, excellent visibility into AWS costs and helps transform cost data into actionable insights.

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

We find this product to be quite useful overall. However, the main drawback is that it cannot be deployed locally on an on-premise server.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary advantage of using Finout for us is having a centralized platform where we can easily view and manage costs across all our AWS accounts. Rather than switching between multiple accounts and tools, everything we need is accessible from a single dashboard, which saves us time and enhances our visibility.

Finout enables us to break down expenses by tags, even when resources are within the same account, providing us with detailed cost granularity. It also makes it simple to spot underutilized resources throughout our AWS environment. With this information, we have been able to gradually right-size our resources and eliminate unnecessary spending, leading to a significant reduction in our cloud costs—up to 40%.

Since Finout is a cloud-based service, there is no need for installation, and we rely on it daily to monitor our spending and make informed, data-driven decisions. Overall, it has become an indispensable tool for managing AWS costs and optimizing how we use our resources.

 ### 3. Clear Cloud Cost Visibility Made Simple

**What do you like best about Finout?**

I really appreciate how easy it makes cloud cost visibility. The dashboards are clear, and I can quickly see where money is going without digging through complicated reports. It saves time and helps me feel more in control of spending.

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

Sometimes the setup and integrations can feel a bit tricky at first, and there’s a learning curve before everything clicks. Also, I wish there were more customization options in the reports to tailor them exactly to my needs.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finout helps me track and understand cloud costs across different services in one place. Before, it was hard to see where money was going, but now I get clear visibility and can spot waste quickly. This saves time, reduces surprises in billing, and makes budgeting much easier.

 ### 4. Intuitive interface, strong feature set, and responsive team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Finout?**

Core features work well, with good speed and UX. Finout listens to customers and consistently improves the product. Multi-dimensional grouping and Anthropic/OpenAI integration have been great additions.

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

Potentially there's room to make underlying data more explainable to non-finance/-finops stakeholders.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finout will help us aggregate and track costs across multiple cloud providers and services, both at the organization and team level.

 ### 5. Efficient and Insightful Cloud Cost Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valentin D. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Finout?**

I appreciate how Finout provides a clear and detailed overview of cloud costs across multiple platforms. The dashboards are intuitive, and the reporting tools make it easy to understand where resources are being used and identify cost-saving opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

The initial setup and integration with multiple cloud accounts can be a bit complex and time-consuming. Some advanced features require a learning curve, and more detailed documentation or guided tutorials would be helpful for new users.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finout helps us gain full visibility into cloud spending across multiple platforms, eliminating the guesswork in budget allocation. It reduces unnecessary costs and allows us to optimize resource usage efficiently. This directly improves financial planning and operational decision-making.

 ### 6. Excellent cost visibility tool with room for query builder improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Finout?**

Finout consistently delivers outstanding results and comprehensive visibility into cost changes, which is invaluable for tracking and understanding our infrastructure spending. As a software engineer, I appreciate how it provides clear insights into cost fluctuations and helps identify optimization opportunities. The visibility it offers into cost trends and changes is exceptional and has become an essential part of our cost management workflow.

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

The main challenge I encountered was with the query builder interface. Building queries can be somewhat cumbersome due to the extensive lists of filters and the numerous fields and attributes available for filtering. While the abundance of options provides flexibility, it can make the process feel overwhelming and time-consuming, especially when trying to construct complex queries quickly.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I'm implementing performance improvements or cost optimization initiatives, Finout is my go-to tool for quantifying the actual monetary effects. Whether I'm adding extra infrastructure to boost performance or implementing cost-saving measures, Finout allows me to track exactly how much we're spending on the additional resources or how much we're saving from optimizations.

 ### 7. FinOut - Advanced FinOps Observability Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dor L. | FinOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Finout?**

Finout allow usage based cost allocation,
It uses K8s and Prometheus metrics for shared resources (compute/ memory) to allow me as a user to decide how to distribute my cost.

If you're looking to get a clearer margins picture for your customers, and you're working multi-tenant architecture, with pool of resources for your different customers, finout is the solution.
otherwise you are always stuck with how well your labeling mechanism and attribution is.

In terms of BI, the cost history report is designed carefully, slicer search is swift and smart unlike old school tools.
You can gain a fast and accurate picture by just using the Group by which come with additional magic- not only that it slices the data it also filters only the relevant context.

for exp you group by a snowflake database name, no need to filter out any of you GCP/ AWS resources.

Anomalies report will allow you to create clear alerts based on any time scope you desire.
We're also using the Jira integration to create tickets based on the alerts defined in the system.

In general the ease of use for integration in finout is great.

Overall it is a great finops tool, which I use daily.

In terms of Customer Support I can genuinely say that the experience is amazing, a team of go getters who pushes for the best results, always places us in the first place, it almost feels like a joined operations.

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

It will require a more capable set of hands to understand how to get everything out of this tool, I assume that not every other business fp will easily find the right metric for allocation, it will require a level of expertise in promql, k8s and the product.

I think this "diss-advantage" is key in order to gain better visibility, but if you're looking for a smarter tool - that's the one.

I'm sure you can also work your way up with just tags- but than your losing the point of finout.

There is room to improve around Snowflake meta data integration.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Margins, Cost Monitoring and alerting

 ### 8. Clear, Flexible, and Actionable Cost Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Finout?**

Finout has become an essential part of our FinOps process. It lets us break down cloud costs not just by service or spend type but also by how we organize things—teams, departments, services. The interface is intuitive, the implementation was smooth, and the support team is responsive and open to feedback. We can now clearly measure how changes in product or infrastructure impact spending, which has helped us identify many optimization opportunities and track their actual effect.

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

The CostGuard Rightsizing feature could be more accurate, especially when it comes to estimating savings and showing Kubernetes resource usage details. That said, based on how quickly they’ve acted on our input before, we’re confident improvements are on the way.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Implementing FinOps in our org. Cost observability and cost optimisation.

 ### 9. Powerful FinOps Tool with Great Support

While it's powerful, some of the more advanced features took a bit of time to get the hang of. I also think it could offer more direct integrations with other tools we use.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the core problem of managing and making sense of complex cloud expenses, especially when trying to track historical data or detect anomalies. We benefit by gaining much better control over our spending, identifying waste, and having reliable data for forecasting.

 ### 10. A powerful tool for cloud cost management with room to grow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Finout?**

Finout provides a clear and detailed view of cloud costs, making it easy to track expenses across different services and teams. I really like how customizable the dashboards are and how straightforward it is to allocate costs by project or department. The integrations with multiple platforms save a lot of manual work, and the real-time visibility helps us make smarter decisions quickly.

**What do you dislike about Finout?**

While Finout is very useful, it can take some time to fully configure for specific business needs, especially for complex infrastructures. The platform could benefit from even more automation features and predictive insights to proactively flag anomalies. Occasionally, some reports load slower than expected when handling very large datasets.

**What problems is Finout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finout is helping us get control and visibility over our cloud costs, which used to be scattered across different platforms and hard to track. It solves the problem of understanding exactly where money is being spent, down to the team and service level, which has made cost allocation much more accurate. This has allowed us to cut unnecessary expenses, forecast budgets with more confidence, and hold teams accountable for their usage.
