"Secure File Management With Good Control but Room for a Simpler User Experience"

4/5

What do you like best about FileCloud?

I’ve been using FileCloud for managing and sharing work files, and overall it has made things much easier for our team. I especially like the file sharing and permission controls .I can share documents with clients or team members without worrying too much about who can access or edit them.

The file versioning and activity tracking are also really useful. It saves us from keeping multiple copies of the same document and makes it easier to see what changes were made.

Another thing I like is being able to access files remotely and sync them across devices. It has reduced a lot of unnecessary file transfers and email attachments.

The only downside is that there are quite a few features, so it took me some time to get familiar with everything. The onboarding could be a little simpler.

I think the user experience could be improved. There are quite a lot of settings and features, and it can take some time for a new user to understand where everything is. The interface could be a little more streamlined, especially for common tasks like sharing files and managing permissions. Performance could also be more consistent when working with larger files or folders.

Overall, FileCloud has been a reliable solution for keeping our files organized, secure, and easy to share. It’s especially useful if you need more control than a basic cloud storage service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FileCloud?

The biggest thing I dislike about FileCloud is that some of the administration and permission settings feel unnecessarily complicated. When you have multiple users, folders, and different access levels, it can take quite a bit of time to understand exactly which permissions are being applied.

I had to double-check settings more than once to make sure users had the access I intended.

The interface also feels a little out-dated in some areas compared with newer cloud-storage platforms. FileCloud is powerful, but I think the product would be much better if the common tasks were simpler and the admin interface was more intuitive.

For me, the main improvement would be simplifying permissions and initial setup without reducing the security controls. That would make FileCloud much easier for smaller teams and non-technical users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FileCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

FileCloud helps us solve the challenge of managing, sharing, and controlling access to our work files in one central place. Before we started using it, our files were scattered across multiple locations, and we depended heavily on email and other ad hoc file-sharing methods.

With FileCloud, we’re able to keep everything organized, share files securely, set and manage user permissions, and track file activity when needed. It saves us time, cuts down on duplicate versions of the same files, and gives us stronger control over sensitive documents. It’s also been especially useful for remote work, since the team can access the files they need without constantly moving them between devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
