Figma lets me design a brand system once and have every campaign pull from it. No more hunting for the right file version. I can hand a marketer an editable file instead of a static export. They swap the headline; I keep the brand intact. The comment thread lives on the artboard. Feedback stops getting lost in email and lives where the work is.
Figma plugs into the tools I already run on, like Slack, Notion, Jira, Google Drive. For marketing, I can push assets out to the channels that need them without rebuilding artwork three times.
It runs in the browser and on desktop. No "save as v7_FINAL_final." The file is the file, always current. Viewer seats are free, so stakeholders can look and comment without me buying them a license. The real return is time: fewer rounds, fewer exports, fewer asset requests that used to eat half a day.
A marketer can learn enough Figma in an afternoon to swap copy in a template. The docs are clear, the community files are free, and I don't have to be the bottleneck every time someone needs a resized banner.
The AI tools speed up first-pass layouts, copy placeholders, renaming layers, and finding the component I buried six pages deep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The plugin ecosystem is uneven. Half of what you need exists, works for six months, then the maintainer disappears. And the handoff to email platforms is still manual, nothing exports cleanly to Klaviyo or Mailchimp without rebuilding it by hand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
