What do you like best about EventSentry?

I really like ADMonitor and the Security & Compliance features in EventSentry. ADMonitor lets me monitor changes to anything within our Active Directory environment, including Group Policy, which I appreciate a lot. The Validation Scripts checking for compliance and whether certain requirements are set in place yet or still incomplete is a major boost to monitoring our compliance with certain security requirements for our company. There is also a Registry monitor area that watches for changes made to it and notifies administration, overall its been a great help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EventSentry?

One downside I’ve run into is that, without the proper knowledge of how to use the system, it isn’t easy to create our own custom packages to monitor specific apps or custom systems within our devices.

I would like if there was a way to Exclude in the filter section when reviewing things (e.g. logs) in ES Web Reports. For Example, if I select two items to put in the filter it will insert something like "computer:PC-01 AND type: Workstation" but when I go into deeper filters like for logs it gets hard adding exclusions to it. What problems is EventSentry solving and how is that benefiting you?

EventSentry enables us to monitor device compliance with specific security controls by using its built-in Validation Scripts, and it also lets us create our own custom validation scripts when needed. With our previous system, we ran into issues with being charged a large monthly sum that didn’t match the level of information we actually needed to pull from it. EventSentry has saved us both time and money by summarizing everything in an easy-to-read, customizable dashboard through ES Web Reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
