What do you like best about EquipDash?

Most rental software is designed for water sports or ski shops, but EquipDash is flexible enough to work for a general outdoor gear rental. I've got 200+ individual items in inventory — everything from 4-person tents to camp stoves — and the asset tracking is solid. I can see what's checked out, what's due back, and what needs cleaning or repair. The online booking with real-time availability is crucial because we rent multi-day, so a tent that's booked Friday to Sunday needs to show as unavailable for those days. What do you dislike about EquipDash?

The system is really built around time-slot bookings (hourly, half-day, full-day), and our model is more like "pick up Tuesday, return Friday." It works, but setting up multi-day date-range rentals took some creative configuration. I also wish the customer-facing booking page had a "kit builder" so people could bundle a tent + sleeping bag + stove into a camping package themselves, rather than me having to pre-build every possible combo. What problems is EquipDash solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest problem it solves is keeping track of 200+ individual gear items across overlapping multi-day rentals without anything falling through the cracks. Before, I was constantly worried about double-booking a tent or forgetting that a stove was still out with a customer who hadn't returned it yet. Now availability is real-time and accurate, late returns trigger automated reminders, and I always know what's on the shelf, what's out, and what needs maintenance. That alone has probably saved me 8-10 hours of admin work a week. The other big benefit is on the customer side — repeat locals book themselves online instead of calling, and the automated confirmations and pickup reminders mean fewer no-shows and fewer "wait, what time was I supposed to come in?" texts on a Saturday morning. Revenue is up because we're capturing bookings 24/7, and I'm spending more time on the floor talking gear with customers and less time chasing down spreadsheets.
