## ED Plan Reviews
  ### 1. Wish we could go back to our old software. EdPlan not user friendly.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

Once all of the people are added, they don't have to be added each time.

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

Frustating, Glitchy,
Finish documents look like a middle schooler designed them - very unprofessional
Created drafts sometimes completely disappear and have to be done all over again.
The documents themselves are unattractive and confusing
Discuss/Develop/Determine is unnecessary and sounds funny as a preface to the meeting purposes.
Not necessary to have a NOM printed for every single participant. Let's get eco-friendly here.

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easier to generate progress notes.

  ### 2. EdPlan.....there are better options out there

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth M. | operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

It is helpful for keeping track of IEPS and data

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

This program has ALOT of bugs and I constantlly get error msgs.

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization of information and data for special education

  ### 3. User Friendly and Time Saving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

I began my career with hand-written carbon forms, moved to NC where we used CECAS, our district moved to Easy IEP, and most recently, our state switched all districts to EdPlan. Though it has different features than Easy IEP, EdPlan is easy to use and intuitive. My favorite parts:
-The progress monitoring tool- It allows me to graph student data as I collect it and leaves it all in one place so I can easily complete quarterly IEP progress reports.
- Compliance Alerts- Not only does it give reminders up to 90 days before a document is due, it provides users with alerts within individual documents to reduce errors in compliance.
- Drafts- Documents can be drafted before meetings and saved in order to create final documents in live meetings with the parent.

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

One improvement I would make in the program is in the accommodations section of the IEP. All available classes and tests automatically populate to the IEP as "not participating". They all show this way on the IEP, which makes for an extremely long document and waste of paper. In order to remove them, they each have to be deselected individually. This process takes a large proportion of my time. As a special education teacher, my time is extremely valuable.

Update: this has been changed.

**Recommendations to others considering ED Plan:**

Ed Plan is a great program. It provides our district/state with consistency when students move in/out of a district. Documents transfer quickly, making it easy to access documents for new students.

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time! Time! Time! Ed Plan makes Special Education document writing seamless and efficient. The program saves time in holding meetings to correct errors as it gives alerts when information is missing

  ### 4. Good management, but frequently buggy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James F. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2020

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

Central management, digital storage, easy for districts to access all IEP, MEEGS, and REDs for students transferring in, blank documents available, parental rights in English and Spanish, PD provided for free in EdPlan through Pepper, shows any errors in the document before drafting and finalizing, patents are automatically notified of finalized documents if their email is in the system.

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

Frequent bugs, sometimes doesn’t catch students in the Wave, updates are performed before bugs are fixed which leads to other bugs.

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re under state audit, so we’re tackling monitoring and uploaded signatures. EdPlan allows us to work on IEPs remotely and our compliance monitors can review remotely.

  ### 5. Somewhat beneficial Program with Helpful Aspects

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Individual & Family Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

I enjoy how easyIEP has “wizards” and batch document generators. This makes it easier to go through my students and create similar documents such as progress reports or IEP-at-a-glance documents. The process for updating IEPs is also streamlined which is a nice feature.

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

A LOT of clicking is required, especially when dealing with large carloads of students. Some aspects of the program could use updating such as the documents tabs on the homepage.

**Recommendations to others considering ED Plan:**

It’s a helpful program. Secure and streamlined the IEP process.

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Updating IEPs, writing priestess reports, monitoring goals and student progress.

  ### 6. EasyIEP- A good program to stay organized.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole C. | SPED Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2018

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

I liked how it was very easy to pull up the current or previous IEPs of a student. It was easy to keep everything organized and in one place. I like how you can edit all of the dates at once on the minutes page. The one button to change all of the dates saves a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

I do not like that the program doesn't automatically save your work. If the power went out or you forgot to hit save you loose all of your data. I also don't like how only 1 person can work on a page at a time. It would be nice if it was a running document that multiple members of the team can edit together.

**Recommendations to others considering ED Plan:**

EasyIEP offers a training when you first purchase this product. Do the training and everything will seem much easier.

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a wonderful program to write individualized education plans for special education students. All of the different sections are easy to navigate. It is great to keep everything organized in one spot for everyone of the team.

  ### 7. IEP trainer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2019

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

As a trainer for this product, I appreciate the flow of the product and the layout. I appreciate the drop down options to make it simple to select the correct indicators for each student.

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

I dislike the updates that have been added to the psychological report process. They are difficult to manipulate and teach to new psychologist how to complete. And seem unnecessary

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems that have been solved include consistency within the school corporation I work with in producing quality driven IEP’s for students.

  ### 8. Great Program for Teachers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash A. | kozhikode, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2018

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

It takes a little time to get used to it, but when you are used to it then it will be really easy and will be really helpful. This can be very much used for monitoring, progress reports etc.. It is very useful for teachers. it wont let us continue without correcting an error which makes it error free.. there is no chance of making an error with this program.

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

I don't think there is any such dislikes, but it should have been little more user friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering ED Plan:**

Everyone should try this as it makes the workload lighter.

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to write IEP's for large number of students.it really helps to save time and made this process really easy.

  ### 9. Easy IEP Can't Be Easier

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

I love how I have all of my student's information in one location. I also like that I can create progress reports and daily notes using the same program. No more looking in different databases for bits and pieces of information.

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

I have to copy and paste each goal that I work on in the session each time I work on it. It doesn't default for each session.

**Recommendations to others considering ED Plan:**

I have worked in other school districts, in home health scenarios, and clinics and I have never used a more intuitive product. Will make your workload a lot lighter.

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes record keeping a breeze. Helps you maintain organized student records

  ### 10. Thorough, good guidance

**What do you like best about ED Plan?**

I like that all of a student’s relevant documents are kept in digital form and also like the caseload features

**What do you dislike about ED Plan?**

It took me a long time to figure out how to find out what the symbol next to each student’s name was

**Recommendations to others considering ED Plan:**

For comprehensive use of keeping a student’s history

**What problems is ED Plan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all special ed data in one place
